Special Junmai sake from Shirakawa Aruga Brewery. It has a strong sweetness and a refreshing acidity. The aroma in the mouth is very pleasant, and it is one of my favorites.
The rice used is Yumeko.
It has a slightly fruity taste and is very well-balanced, making it easy to drink.
I had drunk "Tora Makgeolli" from this brewery in the past.
It is indeed a very good brewery. ‼️
We had this at my wife's parents' house. It has a pleasantly soft rice flavor that goes well with country cuisine. It has a nice sharpness and a beautiful aftertaste.
I prefer it at room temperature.
Fukushima Prefecture's second sake.
Jinya Fukunoka Junmai Dry Sake from Shirakawa City, where I used to live.
Perhaps because it contains carbon dioxide gas, you can hear the gas escaping every time you open the bottle.
It is full-bodied, heavy and dry. It is literally dry!
I was happy to finally get a sake from Aruga Shuzo!
Here is a chart diagram for my own drinking comparison. I am sure some of you will point out that this is not true! I am sure some of you will point this out to me. I would appreciate it if you could tell me.
(My impression after drinking it)
Today, I compared it with Shizenigo, also from Fukushima Prefecture. This one is colorless and transparent. The ginjo aroma is not so noticeable. It is very smooth in the mouth. It is neither particularly sweet nor spicy, nor sour, and is crisp and clean, making it an ideal sake for a mealtime drink. A decade ago, light, dry sake such as Niigata's Koshino-Kanbai or Kubota, or Akita's Hakkaisan would have been the best choice as a food sake, as they complement the food without interfering with the flavor of the dish. Next time, I would like to try another brand of sake, "Seikyuu Zouma".

Yumeko" sake rice produced in Fukushima Prefecture
It is made by Aruga Brewery, the same company as Seiki-Sama, but each has its own unique character.
It has a bit of sourness and bitterness.
It may be more to your liking than Sama.
Jinya is good for hot summer.
