After returning home, I wondered what to drink and chose "Karahashi" by Homare Shuzo, which I had never had a chance to drink before! It is a junmai ginjo made from Omachi. The first sip gives the impression of sweetness with no sourness. As you continue drinking, the spiciness comes out and the trinity of sweetness, umami, and spiciness comes together, which is just the right balance and delicious. There are other sake rice varieties in the Karahashi series besides Omachi, so you have to try them 😆.

Karahashi label by Homare Sake Brewery. Unfiltered unpasteurized sake made from sake rice Yume no Kou. Fruity ginjo aroma. The aroma of melon and sweetness, followed by a slight sourness and bitterness, finally fading away with a slight spiciness. Although it is unfiltered raw, there is no bitterness or peculiarity, and the impression is of a soft, sweet, umami taste. After a few days of drinking, the balance between sweet and spicy has improved. It is a delicious sake that is so easy to drink that it makes you want to drink more and more. ☺️

Aizu Homare newly handled by Ikoma Sake Shop I was allowed to taste two kinds of Kitakata Terroir! Kitakata Terroir EPISODE III Junmai Ginjo The rice is Gohyakumangoku. It is quite gorgeous and sweet. Fruity sweet flavor. The price is about 1,400 yen, and the cost performance is quite good. Kitakata Terroir EPISODE IV Junmai Daiginjo The rice is Yamadanishiki. I drank it at a traveling SAKE event, but I was too drunk to be impressed😅. Fruity and even sweeter than Junmai Ginjo. It tastes elegant and expensive, but with a rice polishing ratio of 39%, 2200 is a very reasonable price! At this point it was the last one in stock, so I doubt there will be any left 🤔. I heard a lot of stories about Karahashi while drinking this, but I'm not going to write them down 🙄.

I bought it at a sake brewery in Kitakata City. I bought it because it was a limited edition sake from the brewery. The brewery is the family home of Yumi Karahashi, who appeared on Sunday Morning. The sake rice is Yumeko and the yeast used is Utsukushima Yume Yeast. The sake was sweet and easy to drink. I opened it right away.

Late GW. BBQ with a charcoal stove is the best. Sake is great when you move from meat to seafood. This sake can handle not only squid and shrimp, but also hormones. The sweetness of this sake is its ability to accept all kinds of food!

阪急うめだ本店・第9回 旅するSAKE⑱ 私的にオススメの、からはしの山田錦を持ってきてなくて残念。 【からはし 純米吟醸 雄町】 しっかり雄町らしい旨味から、ちょっとカッとくる日本酒感。 【からはし 純米吟醸 夢の香】 ジュワっとした酸味と旨味が印象的。 【喜多方テロワール EPISODE Ⅳ】 喜多方産山田錦の39%磨き。私的にはクリアでじんわり旨味が出てきて、あとから苦味もじんわり。これが一番好みかな。 【ならぬことはならぬものです 純米吟醸 原酒】 五百万石使用。スッキリしすぎてて酸味を感じて、思わず辛って言ってしまった。 会津ほまれは、からはしの山田錦がやっぱり一番好きかな。 限界を超えそうなので、旅するSAKEは終了。
