We tasted and bought a smaller bottle of rice champagne at a department store.
The higher grade champagne was also good, but it was much more expensive, so we went with this one.
Toyokuni Junmai was also delicious.
The crown of the bottle stopper tells the fermentation and bubbling power😅.
Took me about 4 minutes to open the bottle 🤣.
I'll have it cold.
Not much upfront aroma, a hint of grain and a hint of alkali.
It is really not sweet, but dry and refreshing like champagne.
I guess if you call it rice, it has a rice feel to it.
Also, there is only a hint of bitterness in the flavor.
It's amazing what you can do here with rice and rice malt after secondary fermentation in the bottle 😆.
I'm not that familiar with champagne or sparkling wine, but I can taste the French atmosphere 🤣.
