Purchased summer sake out of season. I tried it, thinking I wouldn't be able to drink it until next year. It is quite a sweet sake. It is delicious with a warm body after a bath and goes perfectly with a hot pot.
My favorite "Ashigari-go" series. The shopkeeper showed me how to pour it into a wine glass, and when I put my nose inside the glass, I smelled the sweet aroma of grapes. The aroma of sweet grapes! In the mouth, it is the sweetest of the series, but it is not cloyingly sweet and is quite tasty.
It is a spring limited edition sake and the label is spring-like. It has a refreshing sweet and sour taste. It went well with fresh katsuo (fresh bonito) that will be in season in the near future.
The bottle was opened after it was recommended to me that it was made from Aizan, which is a different rice from Yamada Nishiki's "Tsuki ga Kirei Desu desu desu. It is a delicious sake with a plump and tasty rice flavor. Whenever I visit this store, I always end up buying more than I budgeted for because of their kind and polite explanations.
