Sasayama local sake purchased on a drive in Sasayama. Today was not supposed to be a sake trip, but it turned out to be a very fulfilling trip. Homenaru is my favorite sake, served with saba-zushi (mackerel sushi). Of course, I also bought a sake bottle with the brewer's name on it.

We went for a drive to Sasayama and happened to find Homenaru-san's brewery along Route 176, where they were selling hiyaoroshi (freshly grated sake). My wife, who does not drive, tasted the wines and found it hard to narrow it down to just one, so we took home a bottle of Homenari Junmai and a bottle of Ginjo hiyaoroshi. Looking forward to drinking them!
