At SAKE MEETING in Toride
Taikan Gold Award-winning Sake
Full and lustrous
Clear, yet rich and crisp
It is a gold medal-winning sake that is so flawless that it is almost obnoxious!
It seems silly to review this sake, but I can't drink it unless I have a chance to do so, so I'll record it here.
The participants of the event have a common goal of drinking good sake, so even those who don't know each other can enjoy friendly conversation.
I really think it is a wonderful event as I share snacks with a group of people who happen to share the same table.
The venue's thoughtfulness in preparing water-only vending machines is also a nice touch!
Thank you very much.
We also had a drink at the inn...
We bought some sake in Mito and had it in Oarai...
It's nice to see the Galupin fans inside and outside the inn, and cheering them on in the streets!
Unlike the Shiki from Oarai, this sake has a strong flavor!
The slight bitterness enhances the taste.
It is a sake that can be drunk slowly.
By the way, dinner was Tarashiyaki, a local dish similar to monjayaki!
Beer went well with this dish!

Overall impression: You're getting drunk, right? Looks like a honjozo, not what I expected from the label.
Morishima Shuzo of Ibaraki, local brand name "Fuji Taikan".
Like "Morishima," it is slightly fruity with medium umami. The aromatic impression is high (melon, muscatel, linden, maple sweetness). (The aroma is high (melon, muscat, linden, maple sweetness, and white rice flour derived from rice malt).
Since it is a local brand, it is cosy at 1,200 yen.
Since it is a junmai sake, we tried it cold and warmed, but it has a strong capechi, so heating it up is ✕. Cold is recommended.
Morrissey💙
Junmai Ginjo Blue Label💙
Not much aroma!
Easy to drink with a tasty yet clean taste 😋.
Nice acidity in the second half 👍
Tortopia🍺, a craft beer from Aichi.
It's expensive but seriously tasty 😆 I recommend it!
Good evening, Mr. Manachie!
Fuji Taikan was sold at a liquor store in Gifu, but it was rare to find a 4-ounce bottle!
I bought it without a second thought👍
Here is one for tonight!
Another line of my favorite "Morishima" (^^)
I got this for my evening drink...good for the cost...lol
It's a very good sake...I can feel the mild but fruity taste...then I took a sip...it has a great balance of subtle deliciousness, good sweetness and a pleasant sharpness.
4 stars
Today, I went to Kanda alone. I slip into the counter at Fukuno Tori Kanda. Sometimes I like to be alone and enjoy good sake here.
First up is Fuji Taikan Blue Label Junmai Sake. It was originally called "Taikan" but the name was changed. The flavor of rice and acidity spreads. The taste is clean and refreshing. Delicious.
