I have always wanted to drink Asukai, and finally got a bottle of the raw sake!
I heard that the brewer passed away suddenly in 2015 and the brewer's wife and sisters are running the business. I wonder if that's why the production is so low, and even the distributors don't get many bottles in stock.
It is Asukai's challenge sake with 13% alcohol and -5 sake.
It is indeed a low-alcohol sweet sake with a gentle taste, but it tastes a little astringent at the end. It also has a strong acidity. Perhaps it is a characteristic of the brewery, but it has a flavor that is not often found in sweet sake.
Thick sweetness like syrup.
A little bit like Akizuka in the latter half 🤔.
Hello bouken!
Congratulations on your wish for Asukai 🎉!
It's a brand whose sales channels are not so easy to find even in the local area near the brewery 🤔.
Next time we meet, shall I bring you "Manazuru"? I'm sure we can work something out 😁.
Good evening, Mr. Gyve 😃.
I've been trying to get a bottle of Nama Sake for a long time and it took me a long time to get it 💦 It's a brand you don't see very often even in your hometown 😳 Depending on when we meet, I'd like to get a bottle of Ara Shibori or Manazuru 🙏.
The taste of rice spreads softly on the palate.
The clean, clean taste with no cloying flavors is capped off by a strong alcoholic sensation.
It has a combination of strength and delicacy that will not be defeated by fatty foods.
The aroma is subdued and the mouthfeel is dry with a hint of astringency and rice malt. The aftertaste is also dry and robust.
Alcohol 17.5
Sake meter degree +8
High acidity

The first Asukai. Gohyakumangoku from Eiheiji is used.
The bottle was opened with a slight gassy feeling.
It was quite sweet. A little unexpected.
I can taste the umami, but the sweetness comes first for me.
Sorry, I'm looking forward to the next brand.
Crisp, spicy and fruity with a dark sweetness. It finishes with sourness and a hint of bitterness. Omachi produced in Okayama Prefecture. Kaiser-Jakut and
The first Asukai was served warm.
It has a full, rich flavor that is hard to imagine from a 60% polished Gohyakumangoku sake, and it has a nice sharpness. I have never had it cold or at room temperature, but it looks good heated.
First sake in a long time 🍶.
My wife's choice, my first sake brewery!
It is a sake with plenty of umami, sharpness, and a strong alcohol taste, and is very drinkable after a long time.

Soft, sweet and delicious, with the beautiful flavor of the rice swelling up.
The bitter and pungent taste is well balanced with just the right amount of sharpness.
Asukai-san, it has been a long time since last fall.
The first aroma is faintly sweet.
In the mouth, there is a slight astringency and a thick sweet flavor that is typical of unfiltered, unpasteurized sake.
The astringent taste gradually fades away.
This was delicious 🍶✨.
The aroma is mild and the taste is not too sweet for an unfiltered sake. It also has a little bit of the weight of the original sake.
It goes well with sukiyaki today because it does not lose to strong flavored dishes and does not cancel out their flavors.
But if you drink it carefully, you may feel the acidity.
