Sake series brought back from Hokkaido, Part 3
Freshly opened.
It was different from the one we drank at the brewery, a little younger.
The aroma is not brown sugar, but sweet like a flower.
The rice is full and delicious with the aroma.
Surprisingly, it has a long, lingering aftertaste.
When it ends, there is a sense of rice flavor and a floral aroma.
This was the most popular sake among everyone.
The taste of different sake rice is completely different, but it was delicious.
I wish it would land in the Kanto area.
At the sake brewery's tasting
Thankfully, almost all the varieties for free.
▼ Comet
Herbal green aroma with brown sugar-like sweetness.
The raw sake was more floral and flowery.
Both have good rice and pleasant sweetness.
▼ Kitashizuku
Refreshing aroma like ramune.
Delicious light graininess.
▼Ginpu
Fresh aroma of grape and muscat. Fresh aroma.
Refreshing acidity, a little spicy. Wine-like.
Ikashiroshi
I like this one, but I don't remember what it is.
I don't want to make detailed comments because it is a tasting.
After much worrying, we decided to welcome Comet.
It is more delicious than I expected and I hope it will spread in the future.
It is dry with strong umami and acidity.
The acidity dissipates quickly, but the umami lingers for a long time, making it drinkable even if you don't like strong acidic sake.
It was marketed as a food sake, but it seems to go well with practically any food.
Adult school trips!
The second day is also full of events!
We went to Sakuramoto Shoten, Chitosekuru brewery, Raccoon Nijo Sake Festival, and Sapporo Beer Museum to engage in sake activities 🤣👍.
First time at the Sake Festival ✨!
Fruity aroma and slight sweetness, but with a clean taste 😋.
I don't have a picture, but the tempura of gyoja garlic and albacore was too good to resist 🤩!
Too bad the gochu would have been even better if it had been cold😅.
It was very hot in Sapporo that day, so the sake was quite warm 🙄.
In the evening, we had Genghis Khan 🐑🔥.
It was delicious and had no smell at all 😋😋.
Around the time that Craft Sake Week was being held in Guiloppon, there was also a grand sake event in Possalo.
In fact, it is no exaggeration to say that this was the main event of the trip. Its name is the Raccoon Nijo Sake Festival. It is a large gathering of sake breweries in Hokkaido. The person who served us was a dispatched staff member, and there was no one who looked like a sake brewer.
The first Goho sake was not cold. I would like to see improvement in this area. Beer is better because of the nice weather. So, zangi and beer 🍺 were my lunch. Gyoja garlic was also delicious.
I learned how to pour a good beer, had some whisky from Yoichi distillery, and had some ramen from Sumire, so I was satisfied.
I will be the King of Noodles and Sake! I was surprised to see that there were two "Noodle and Sake Kings" in the group. I wonder if the fake one made it on the plane?
Good evening, Nochi-san!
There was a fierce guy who was having morning rah the morning after eating Sumire!
He also drank a lot of sake, and I'm not sure which one of us is the Noodle and Sake King 🤣.
Good evening, kino. I think the King of Fake Noodles and Sake enjoyed it the most 😄 I laughed when he said "My stomach is not good enough" on the 3rd day. I guess that's true 😆.
Checking in to Hokkaido, we went to the Goho Sake Brewery...
I was very impressed with the tasting.
Fruity and very nice aroma, yet easy to drink and refreshing.
The sake seal book also made its debut: ✌🏻
Kameda-gun, Hokkaido...a place name I had never heard of before
Sake brewed with locally produced comets by a sake brewery in a town adjacent to Hakodate.
Junmai sake with a refreshing and clear taste, as is typical of Comet.
Good with sashimi!
Posting No.387
This sake has a grain aroma and umami that can be felt slowly and gradually, and is not very thick. No sweetness or acidity. It is very refreshing.
It goes well with food.
Pairing with Ate
Dried flatfish Fat
Fried thread and cod roe ◯++.
Fried oysters
Baked sausage
My personal favorite
Sweetness: 2
Umami: 4
Astringency: 2
Acidity: 2
Bitterness: 4
Fullness, body: 4
Flavor: Mint
The color is slightly yellowish and thickened. Upright aroma: ethyl caproate green apple-like and a little alcohol.
On the attack, the sweetness is moderate, but the umami of the rice is clear. After that, a minty bitterness gradually fades into the back of the nose.
This is a mellow sake that is more like a local sake.
This is the first sake from Hokkaido.
It was given to me as a souvenir, but it went great with the octopus and rice that I bought it with!
The wash reset effect made the drink go down the drain... 😆.
