At the second restaurant on the first day of my business trip to Hokkaido.
At a small restaurant in Susukino arranged by the Sapporo branch manager.
I said "Kangiku" when I saw the label, but it was a local sake from Hakodate. 🙇♂️
It is a junmai ginjo sake with a sweet ripe fruit aroma, followed by umami and a sour aftertaste - a pleasant sharpness that lingers.
I remembered it even though I had a stupid tongue at the second restaurant 👏.
After the first course, we had miso ramen. It was so delicious!

It was my first time in Sapporo in a year, but I was able to visit Escondido Field, which I had longed to do.
