This is the last of the forget-me-nots.
One of my purchases in Niigata in September.
It was purchased at Yukiguni Shuho Kanazawa-ya in Shiozawa, Minamiuonuma City, along with a Halloween model of Takachiyo.
Takachiyou is a raw, unblended sake with an alcohol content of 18%.
It was produced in 2024.08.
The aroma upon opening the bottle is sweet and fruity. Is it a refreshing aroma reminiscent of pear and muscat aroma?
When one takes a sip, a juicy, rich sweetness spreads in the mouth. The sweetness is quickly lifted by a three-dimensional, discreet acidity, and a lingering alcohol-derived bitterness can be felt along with the sweetness.
Despite its high alcohol content, it is delicious with a sweetness like that of Takachiyo at the forefront.
Personally, I think it is a bottle suitable for slow drinking.
This is the last sake purchased on the Niigata trip. It is an al-soze regular sake. The rice is different from the Shu version, and M seems to be Minamiuonuma. I was surprised after drinking sake for the first time in a while. It starts with a nice aroma, and although the flavor is not flashy, it has a sweetness and umami that is as good as any modern local sake that costs around 2,000 yen for a 4-pack. I finished it in about three weeks, and it did not deteriorate much, as is often the case with local sake. However, this is a sake to be drunk chilled or less. The acidity is a bit too much when heated. Recommended.

I am taking a late summer vacation🌻 and returning to my parents' home.
We went to an Italian restaurant that my sister had reserved for my mother's birthday celebration. It was raining hard, but the place was packed😳It seemed to be quite a popular restaurant. My son also happened to be in Kanto for training, so I invited him to Niigata. His mother was overjoyed because she thought she would not be able to see her grandson for a while ✨It was the best birthday present of all 😊.
I bought this one at Ponshukan too...whenever I see Koryu, I pick it up. And I knew I liked the taste 👏My mom and sister were happy to drink it too! It has sweetness and acidity, and the balance is perfect. It's a direct-from-the-middle bottle, so it has a high degree of alcohol content and is delicious.
The next day, the bubbles disappeared and the taste became more subdued, but my mother seemed to like the bubbles and said, "You should have drunk it all in one day.
She said "I should have finished it in one day" 🤣That's what I expected👍.
Happy birthday to your mother, Yucachin 🎉🎂!
I hope you had a full holiday of drinking 😊👍And above all, your mother's drinking remark is wonderful ✨You can drink without reservation 🤣.
Good morning, Yucachin 😃.
Happy Birthday to your mom 🎂Happy Birthday to your mom 🎉What better gift than to have the family together 🥹Mom is a stone! You have a strong bloodline 🤗No...I should have left some 😁.
Jay & Nobby, good morning 😊and thank you 🎂 family gatherings are delicious ✨I won't deny my bloodline 🤣my grandfather was also a man who carried a bottle of wine on his days off 🤣.
It has a rich sweetness and full-bodied flavor with a subdued aroma. A rich sake that makes you want to keep it in your mouth and savor it.
Cost-effective and must be repeated.
Brewer's alcohol 18 degrees.
I felt it was either alcoholic or strong.
The taste is sweet, carbonation and spiciness followed by sourness!
This is my first sake from Niigata Prefecture. It is indeed a rice-producing area!
When I went out for a drink the other day, I went to the izakaya next door while waiting for the deputy.
The restaurant is a quintessential Takachiyo.
It has a nice balance of sweetness, umami, and a good amount of spiciness!
Thank you very much!
Tonight, I happened to choose Niigata sake again, but I was going to drink it on New Year's 🎍, but it was left unopened due to the earthquake and other things 😅.
Koryu Benitama Daiginjo Nakadori Shizukusyu 2023BY
I'm going to drink it now 🔴🐉🔴🔴🔴.
It's been a long time since I've tasted a sake with alcohol added, but since it's an exhibited spec, I'm looking forward to it. ☺️ The aroma is clear melon with a hint of alcohol volatility. The taste is a slightly elegant expression of sweetness and deliciousness of rice on the attack, but the dryness of alcohol asserts itself from the middle onward, making it profound and delicious 😋😋😋😋😋😋.
18 degrees powerful, bottom of the bottle.
Not much of an aroma, though,
Slightly pear-like sharp aroma.
It is unique.
The flavor is koji-like and full-bodied,
The taste has a firm, grapefruit-like fruitiness.
Later, there is a yeasty aroma.
It is not flashy but has depth.
Taste 3.5/5
Thick sashimi and delicious sake, the third drink at Hitoyoshi
Kouriu in Takachiyo!
Minamiuonuma, M
It's a regular sake, but it's fruity, rich, and has a beautiful flavor,
If you see it, you should definitely drink it.
It's delicious!
