I bought it because Mr. Hattori of Hattori Culinary School recommended Junmai Sake Tengu Mai on Youtube.
I would like to buy it again because it was one of the top tasting Junmai sake.
3.5/5 stars
Junmai Daiginjo-shu, brewed with a Yamahai sake mother, is very mellow.
The aroma passes through the nose.
It has a strong aroma and taste, but it is suitable for everyone.
Personally, I cannot drink this sake by itself.
The aroma has a peculiar flavor, but the taste is so robust that you can feel the sake's goodness even with very solid snacks, such as crab miso and squid wadding, etc.
When I drink sake alone, I think it might not be ready for me yet....
When served with rich Japanese food, it can be enjoyed, but I think the taste of sake becomes too distant.
Cheese rounds out the acidity nicely, but does not mask the taste of sake.
It is a delicious sake with a dry, refreshingly acidic taste.
