Today, we went to Karuizawa for a short time for Izakaya Shinkansen. The chosen wine was Gorin from Ishikawa, famous for its Tengumai.
It has a mild but slightly ripe fruit aroma and a moderately acidic taste that does not tire the drinker. It has a sharpness and calmness typical of Ishikawa, and is a good type for drinking slowly on the Shinkansen, as it can be tasted even when the temperature rises a little.
Pairing] Grilled fish, simmered dishes, soup stock

Manufactured in 2012.01
We found this aged old sake at Tajiri last month.
We opened the bottle after it had been stored for 13 years at a liquor store.
I imagined it would be amber-colored and look like a dead leaf, but it is not at all like that 😯 It is light amber-colored and light, with a slight aroma of aging.
The year 2012 was the year of the London Olympics and the opening of the Tokyo Sky Tree.
It was something like, I drank up the precious sake in two days, and I am grateful to the liquor store for aging it.
I forgot to take a picture,,
At a certain bar
It was self-serve.
It was lighter and sweeter than I expected.
It is not suitable for people and food.
Personally, I think it would be better if it were a little sharper.

Recommendation⭐️⭐️⭐️
Is it another brand of Tengu Mai?
The sweetness and umami taste start slowly around the first sip.
The mid-palate is moist, and the richness of umami extends to the finish.
Gorin is a sake from Ishikawa that I drank this year and fell in love with. It is a different line from the same brewery as Tengumai.
The unique flavor of Tengu Mai is slightly mild and easy to drink. It is a sake on the high road that I could drink every day. It was a perfect pairing for today's tempura and sashimi.
