This year's Joyo Aizan at Kiyamachi.
It is mild, but leaves a sharp acidity at the end. Delicious. Very good. Served with assorted obanzai.

One of the bottles purchased at the brewery on May 1
Slightly fizzy after opening.
Fruity acidity on the nose
Elegant and smooth sensation after passing through the throat.
I am not a fan of the "astringency" that I find in Joyo Shuzo's sake, but my impression has changed with this new sake. It gives depth to the fruitiness and is very tasty!
One of the bottles purchased at the brewery on May 1
Sweet and rich, but the aftertaste is surprisingly light and not cloying.
It has a strong alcohol taste and leaves a slight tingling sensation on the tongue.
Aromas of gentle muscat, cloves, and paint.
Smooth and slightly effervescent.
Sourness and a dense, long flavor. Gentle wateriness, firm astringency and bitterness. Good rice flavors.
Pair with Yose Tofu, Shrimp Cocktail, Caprese, Oden.
Three months after my foot injury, I finally had no trouble walking, so I came to Kyoto for my postponed Hatsumode (New Year's visit to Kyoto) 😁.
After visiting Fushimi Inari, Takio Shrine, Rokuharamitsuji Temple, Zen Iori Temple, Kyoto Ebisu Shrine, and Shijo Kawaramachi, I thought I would go to Tatsumi for a lunchtime drink instead of a lunchtime meal.
First of all, it was unseasonably hot and we were sweating from walking, so we quenched our thirst with a bottle of Akahoshi, and then we had a glass of sake and a drink.
Since most of the sake was from Kyoto, I had never had "Joyo Nanzan" before, so I don't know the specs.
A clear rice aroma, a fresh, clean, soft umami on the palate, and a clean, crisp aftertaste.
Served with chilled tofu.
The slightly firm and gentle tofu flavor with the refreshing Joyo Nanzan is just right for a midday drink in today's early summer heat!
Now, where shall we go before the train back home?
Gyve, welcome to Kyoto😊.
I'm glad you had a chance to visit so many temples and shrines 😳Praying for good luck with your injury 🙏✨.
I've been passing by your store but was wondering what kind of sake you serve 💦I see you have sake too! I'll go there next time 😁.
Good evening, Gyve 😃.
Back from the foot injury! Good for you😊.
I bet the Akahoshi 🍺 must have been delicious after all that walking and sweating 💦 🥹 then cold tofu and Kyoto sake 🍶 good start ‼️ let's see where next 😁
Hi Pon-chan!
This year I only visited the Higashiyama side of the city so it was easy to get around 😁I must visit Fushimi Inari for the omikuji (fortune) at Mitsuji Temple and Zenjuan every year since I was born in the year of the boar ✨.
I heard that Tsunoki Shuho in Nishiki Market wholesales sake!
Hi Jay & Nobby ☀☀☀☀!
I can't run or put all my weight on yet, but my muscles are getting weaker, so I went for a walk in the city for rehabilitation 😁.
It was hot with rising temperatures, so the cool combination worked well!
