Sake purchased at a hiyaoroshi event at the Nishinomiya branch of Hanshin Department Store (3)
The rice seems to be Manamusume.
It seems to be -10 sake, sweet but classic, a little sour. Not as good as the Hoyo I've had 🤔.
When it gets close to room temperature, it has a sense of maturity and citrus-like acidity.
The aroma in the nose after drinking is very fruity though.
Sannomaru is definitely sweeter.
I'm on my way home this morning.
But it's a conventional train trip!
It's hard to drink in a very bumpy train 🫨.
I want to drink, but I want to eat nicely.
This sake has a lot of sweetness.
However, it has a nice aftertaste and goes well with sea squirt!
At an acquaintance's house in Sendai, Miyagi's oldest sake brewery, Uchigasaki Sake Brewery. The brewery is famous for the time-consuming and labor-intensive sake brewing process. This is a gem brewed with Manamusume, a sake produced in Miyagi Prefecture. The aroma reminds me of pineapple, and the sweetness is moderate and skinny, which is typical of Miyagi sake. It is delicious.
Drink cold.
The aroma is of ripe apples.
Taste is mainly sourness with bitterness at the end.
It is better to drink it quickly and enjoy the fresh sourness and aroma through the nose than to drink it slowly.
