Junmai Ginjo Rice Very heavy. Slightly sticky. I think I should warm it up 🤔? ⤴️When paired with ayu confit and wata, the unpleasant taste disappears and the flavor increases. Even cold sake is softer and easier to drink. Easy to pair with octopus rice, fried chicken cheese, and sweetfish confit👍. Purchased at Seijo Ishii @ Urawa, drinking at home @ 20210731

It has a slight umami taste and cleans up nicely. It doesn't have a special character, but it will naturally accompany your table. During this holiday, I took out the original "Natsuko no saké" (manga, Kodansha Manga Bunko, 6 volumes) from the bookshelf for the first time in a while and read it. I still think it is a masterpiece. Reading it again, I was moved by the persistence of Toji Yamada Shinsuke in making sake. The TV drama version starring Eimi Wakui was also good, but I think that Masami Shimojo as Toji Yamada and Hideo Takamatsu as Natsuko's father are perfect images for the original.

Thanks to my newfound love of sake, I don't have to worry about what to buy when I travel. At any rate, I buy local (apparently) sake. This sake was sold at the roadside station we stopped at this time. It seems to be made by the same brewery that made "Natsuko no saké". It's a little spicy like Niigata Prefecture. But it's not that distinctive, and you can drink it with food. Rice polishing ratio 55%. Alcohol content 15 degrees
