Perhaps it is because of the fresh storage, but even though it is a new sake, the bitterness unique to Gohyakumangoku is moderately rounded and characterized by a plump rice flavor 🤔. I received this sake as a gift from a great senior at my company as a gift for passing my sakediploma 🍶. Thank you so much for the treat 🙌! Heroyui
Purchased at Seijo Ishii in Nihonbashi. It is said to be from the sake brewery that was the model for the Natsuko no Sake manga. I have not read it yet. It has a clear and crisp alcoholic aroma. It is light and dry, but smooth and light. The aftertaste is short and has good acidity. It is a ginjo-shu that would be suitable as a food sake.
