Perhaps it is because of the fresh storage, but even though it is a new sake, the bitterness unique to Gohyakumangoku is moderately rounded and characterized by a plump rice flavor 🤔.
I received this sake as a gift from a great senior at my company as a gift for passing my sakediploma 🍶.
Thank you so much for the treat 🙌!
Rice (producing region): Gohyakumangoku
Yeast: Yeast
Polishing ratio (%): 55
Alc(degree): 14
Clear and colorless, with a face of yogurt, cooked rice, and yogurt. The attack is rather weak, with a firm acidity, dry sweetness and a rather short finish.
Purchased at Seijo Ishii in Nihonbashi.
It is said to be from the sake brewery that was the model for the Natsuko no Sake manga.
I have not read it yet.
It has a clear and crisp alcoholic aroma.
It is light and dry, but smooth and light.
The aftertaste is short and has good acidity.
It is a ginjo-shu that would be suitable as a food sake.
Natsuko sake.
I knew it had been on the store shelves for a while, but this was the first time I tried it.
It is a sake that is easy to drink. The aftertaste is a slight, slight hint of rice...?
The famous Natsuko sake I had high expectations for, but it has a surprisingly normal sake feel. It is not unpleasant, but the bitterness of the alcohol makes it feel like a clean, dry brew. It has a light ginjo color. I bought it because it was supposed to be warmed up, but it is not very good warmed up.
