The last sake of the day was this one from Ehime ‼️ which was also brought by a motorcycle YouTuber👍
I will drink it for the first time!
Matsuyama Mitsui
I had never heard of this sake rice before!
Typical light and dry, makes me want sashimi!
I think I drank it in the wrong order😅.
We ended the party at 10pm and went back to mahjong🀄️, but I was still beaten to pieces that day 🤣.
It is said to be a junmai sake brewed with yeast activated by Onkyo's music excitation technology. It has a rich aroma, and the fragrance spreads in the mouth. It also has a slightly dry taste.
While I was looking for what to buy, I was intrigued by the label "Sake Competition 2024 GOLD Awarded Sake" and decided to buy it.
It came in an impressive 6th place out of 261 entries in the category ✨.
I was excited to see how it would taste....
By the way, I am not a fan of medals.
What kind of "light" but "full-bodied" type is on the label? I thought it had just the right amount of sourness, sweetness, and umami, but then I realized that it was indeed a refreshingly crisp beer.
It seems to go well with pretty much anything as a food sake, but personally, it was a perfect match for the strong acidity of mozuku seaweed and vinegared cucumber.
I think it's the best sake in Japan (or the world, for that matter?). It is a happy world to be able to enjoy the 6th best sake at a reasonable price.
Purchased at Matsuyama station and had it on the express train with jakoten and chikuwa as snacks.
It was refreshing and easy to drink, with little alcohol content.
(The Yosan Line was quite bumpy, and I was worried that it might spill.)
Rice polishing ratio 70%.
Alcohol content 14
Sourness in the aftertaste
This sake was given to me by a Shinto priest on a visit to a shrine in Imabari Castle. It is a popular sake with few characteristics.
It is quite different from daiginjo and junmai sake.
Spring starts in Australia on the day of the toast 🍶🏵🌸💮 with Ehime local sake.
Junmai Ginjo sake brewed with 50% polished rice of Ehime's new sake rice "Shizuku Ehime" is still wonderful ‼️🥰.
It has a delicate sweet aroma with a refreshing citrus flavor🍊🍊.
It is said to be a junmai ginjo-shu made from 100% "Shizuku Ehime," Ehime Prefecture's first rice suitable for sake brewing, which won the highest gold medal at the Wine Glass Delicious Sake Awards 2020.
The aroma is slightly fruity, the mouthfeel is soft and gentle, the umami from the rice is predominant, and the spiciness and bitterness come out in the back of the mouth.
My personal impression is that I would rather drink it leisurely as a companion to a meal than by itself 😊.
Hi Dai, Good evening.
Congratulations on your 100th check-in 🎉.
Sake is one of the most enjoyable things about sake, and it tastes great when served with a meal 🎵.
I hope you continue to enjoy a good sake life 😊.

Good sake for a good meal 👍✨I remember from your review that you drank the different specs in Ehime with tai meshi and it was delicious 😊.
Thank you, Pon-chan...we had hamburger steak as our entrée tonight too 😊 We are neighboring prefectures across the sea, so I would like to enjoy a variety of Ehime sake as well!
Good evening & thank you, Jay & Nobby😄I haven't gotten Kagawa for Shikoku sake yet, so I hope to get it soon...for Ehime sake, I guess Ishizuchi is next 😊.
Masaaki Sapporo, thank you very much 😊I am not confident in my taste buds, but I hope to share what I feel with everyone at Sake-no-wa 💦I hope to continue to enjoy local sake from all over Japan & Hiroshima 😄.
