Drinking with my wife at Tsushima Tsuru at Metropolitan Morioka New Wing on our wedding anniversary last week (laughs).
We continued with Kikunotsuka Junmai-shu (Junmai-shu is a junmai-shu made by Kikunotsuka).
Kikunotsuka Yo is a summer sake in the same series.
This one is a matured autumn-aged sake.
It is sweet but refreshing.
No sticky feeling at all.
The mild taste goes well with Rishiri kelp and ebi majake.
I have to get up early again tomorrow, so that's all for today.

Purchased at a product exhibition in Iwate.
Immediately after opening the bottle, it was fresh, with a strong gasiness and a muscat-like heady aroma. I thought it might be a sake with a quality that is less in vogue these days, but the dryness and lack of richness, or the lack of a lingering aftertaste, left a mismatched impression.
After the second day, it rounded out and the overall balance became more to my liking.
At the product exhibition, they were pushing the point that they are the oldest sake brewery in Iwate, but I see that the business was transferred to a company whose main business is pachinko.
In addition to innocent 40,50 and shichifukujin, there were labels with powerful drawings of heart star and yuzan, and brands with the Kame-no-o chapter, and the sales staff was very willing to offer tastings, which made a good impression on me. It was a real shame we had to come by car.

It is made from "Ginotome," Iwate Prefecture's preferred rice for sake brewing.
It is a junmai ginjo-shu brewed with a blend of two ginjo yeasts.
It is characterized by a dignified top-fragrance reminiscent of melon and strawberries, and a fresh fruity overtone.
It is bottled at 14% alcohol by volume, and is smooth and pleasant to drink.
The Fukuroiya Brewery's comment: "It is a very smooth and refreshing sake.
A slightly sweet and refreshing food sake.

First time in Iwate!
Tonight, I chose a bottle of nama-zake, which was one of the 8 bottles I purchased at a liquor store in Morioka, including the one my parents asked me to buy, and which I was unable to ship.
Maybe it is because the store owner told me it tastes fruity and modern, or maybe it is because I had a graduation ceremony the day before, but I feel fresh and like a newcomer, lol.
It was a light sake with a touch of sweetness in the lightness, not that it was a slurp, but it was a light sake 😋.
