To Takada Park for nighttime cherry blossom viewing! Hotei Hotei is located on the way to Hanami. As usual, I wandered in and found a bottle of "Yukichuubai" (plum in snow), which is not like "Yukichuubai"! What's more, they said it was a draft sake!
The label was a light pastel color with a chameleon-like design on a plum branch. A chameleon-like design on a plum branch.
Essayer means "to try" in French. The theme of the label is a new challenge and transformation of Yukichubai, and the brewing director will be changed in 2022.
It has a slightly melon-like fruity aroma, with a hint of koji, gorgeous, and refreshing,
It has a newness that is not typical of Yukinakubai.
Mild on the palate,
Mellow sweetness that flows heavily on the tongue like a gentle sweet and sour taste,
It has a mild, thick flavor as if it were freshly squeezed, but it also has a sharp bitterness in the back of the mouth.
It has a crisp bitter aftertaste and a soft, refreshing taste.
Mmmm, delicious! New! A modern Junmai Daiginjo Yukinakubai!
The cherry blossoms this past weekend were fantastic. The giant weeping cherry trees and sakura road were amazing~!

Back in the day, Niigata's Sanbai was an extremely hard-to-find brand. I often visited Niigata Takata on business and was often presented with it. At the time, I had no interest in sake at all and almost never went through with it.
Now, in 2021, Koshino-Kanbai is easily available at Aeon. Mine-no-Hakubai is also often seen as Hishiko at local liquor stores.
However, Yukinubai is not so easy to find in my hometown. So, I got it on a business trip to Joetsu.
I paired it with a taste of spring, firefly squid and broccoli with olive oil.
It has a moderate aroma of cemedine or banana. It is sweet. It harmonizes with the sweetness and bitterness of firefly squid and broccoli. Lastly, there is a final bitter taste that is refreshing and delicious in the mouth!
It's been a long time since I've had Yukinuchubai.
It was served lukewarm as usual, but the sweet flavor spread out and the sweetness was not unpleasant, but rather sharp and refreshing.
It was served with sashimi.
You can find this sake here and there in Tokyo 😉.
A classic Niigata sweet sake👍.
The aroma is surprisingly understated 😲.
Soft and clean taste 🎵
Finishes with a sour aftertaste✨.
With steamed brat. It was too easy to drink. When I told him that, he told me that everything is bad for you, and when I thought about it seriously, I thought that he was right.
Yukichubai's limited-edition sake, Junmai Genjyu!
Finally, the season has come~! Sake no Jin!
This year it's March 9th and 10th, and this year tickets sold out in about 5 minutes...! Too bad! I'm glad I was able to secure a ticket. I'm looking forward to it too much!
A special Yukichubai with a label that looks like a karuta of sake and camp on a red background.
I'm going to have it on 222 Cat's Day.
Mellow banana aroma, soft and sweet,
Thick, full-bodied flavor,
It's delicious!
When heated up, the acidity increases and the sweet and sour, citrusy, fresh, and tantalizingly astringent flavor,
The alcohol taste is very strong and satisfying,
Exquisite balance,
Delicious! Delicious!
The impression changes considerably depending on the temperature. It is good at all temperatures, but I prefer it warmed up a little higher than lukewarm.
