Yukichubai's limited-edition sake, Junmai Genjyu!
Finally, the season has come~! Sake no Jin!
This year it's March 9th and 10th, and this year tickets sold out in about 5 minutes...! Too bad! I'm glad I was able to secure a ticket. I'm looking forward to it too much!
A special Yukichubai with a label that looks like a karuta of sake and camp on a red background.
I'm going to have it on 222 Cat's Day.
Mellow banana aroma, soft and sweet,

When heated up, the acidity increases and the sweet and sour, citrusy, fresh, and tantalizingly astringent flavor,
The alcohol taste is very strong and satisfying,

The impression changes considerably depending on the temperature. It is good at all temperatures, but I prefer it warmed up a little higher than lukewarm.

Happy New Year, the first sake of 2024 is Yukinuchubai Snow Storage Junmai Genmai, a return gift from Joetsu City's hometown tax payment.
Gorgeous, young melon, refreshing aroma,
Slightly smooth and mellow on the tongue,
Soft sweetness.
The taste is matured and calm with a beautiful acidity,
A slight bitterness remains and makes you carry the next cup of sake.
It is delicious.
I was going to open it with a sunny mood, but...
On the way back from New Year's Day to Joetsu and Itoigawa, we felt an earthquake on the highway, stopped, and took the expressway down,
There was a tsunami warning, but the only way to get home was to pass by the sea, and with the white waves of the Sea of Japan on my left, which was quite thrilling, I got home safely in the middle of the night without any major road damage.
Niigata City was also damaged quite a bit, liquefaction and water cut off.
I am glad to hear that water is running and toilets are working for now..,
It's been a tough start to the New Year... I hope everyone in Ishikawa and Toyama is safe and that the damage will not spread any further.
Let's be prepared for disasters, while chewing on the happiness of being able to drink sake safely once again.
