I remember drinking Rokkasen's "TODOKASHI" sake while out for a drink and enjoying it so much that I took a tour of the brewery during my trip to Yamagata this time. Thank you very much for your detailed explanation.
After the tour, we had a chance to taste some of their other sakes. Overall, I got the impression that many of the sakes were spicy. Among all the sake we tasted, the blue label Daiginjo of Tazukara was my favorite and I bought it as a souvenir for a person I was indebted to. I also tried my luck in the sake gacha and won the 2nd prize, which I immediately enjoyed at the hotel where I was staying!
It is a dry sake with a punch of alcohol and acidity, and is a traditional hard-core sake. I had it chilled, but I felt it would be better heated up. Thank you very much for the meal.
I found a sake stamp book at Rokkasen. Another thing to look forward to!
A red color derived from purple-black rice, second fermentation in the bottle.
Sorry, I bought it to drink as a topic of conversation, but it wraps you up with a grape-like aroma and a lingering sweetness like cotton candy.
I'd pair it with salami or other somewhat wetty processed beef products.
I went to a restaurant in front of Obihiro Station called [Obanzai Shino], which is the place to go if you like Japanese sake.
I told them my preference and what came out as a recommendation was Rokkasen's limited edition sake. This is a rare sake that is only available at Rokkasen's March event, and I had a somewhat precious image of it.
It has a fruity aroma and a taste that is unique to Yuki-Megami (Snow Goddess), but the alcohol content is a little high at 16%. It is a good sake to be enjoyed with a side dish rather than on its own.
There seems to be an event at least once a month, and I will participate in the event hosted by the restaurant later this month.
drinking at home (as opposed to going out)
My daughter, who joined the company in April, came back for a holiday weekend.
I opened a bottle of Rokkasen that I bought on a trip to Yamagata last November.

We enjoyed listening to her talk about all the things she has been doing since she joined the company.
We enjoyed the sake while listening to her talk about her new position at the company.
It was not as fruity as the ginjo-shu we usually drink at the store, but it was not as fruity as the ginjo-shu
I did not feel the fruity flavor of the ginjo-shu I usually drink at the store, but it had a firm sweetness.

I'm sure I'll have something to snack on when I get back 🥰.
A package designed by a college student?
There was a piece of paper wrapped around it, but I forgot to take a picture...

Sake Brewer's Comment
This is a series of Rokkasen's secret sake released four times a year. The design was created by the students of Tohoku University of Art & Design. The soft flavor of rice matured slowly in the snow, the freshness of the aroma, and the smooth taste brought about by the ripple effect of melting snow can be enjoyed. Please enjoy the arrival of spring. Aged slowly in the snow. You can enjoy the soft flavor of the rice, the floral aroma and freshness, and the smooth taste brought about by the waves of melting snow. Please enjoy the arrival of spring.
This sake has the flavor and richness of rice made through a 5-stage brewing process. We tasted it cold, but we think you can feel the true flavor of the rice even more if you drink it warmed.
☀️
It has a slight ginjo aroma.
While slightly amber in color, it has a thin sweetness 😚 that belies its appearance.
It starts with a light sweetness like an early ripe peach 🍑 and gets sweeter the more you drink it 😊.
The more you drink it, the sweeter it gets 😊.
