#Hamamatsu#
I went back to my parents' home in Hamamatsu during Golden Week.
I left Tokyo around 3pm in the afternoon.
Tomei Expressway had zero traffic jam 😯 Surprised 😆.
It was good to move at the time to spend in the holiday resort 🤔.
Arrived at my hometown and bought gyoza (dumplings) and sake (sake) at my parents' house.
Knowing that "Hana no Mai" was waiting for me.
I bought this sake and went home.
It was very spicy 🤯 and bitter at first.
Not bad 😅
Danna and daughter bought it for me as a souvenir from their ski trip 😃.
I usually prefer lighter sakes, and I don't often buy this "mellow umaguchi" type for myself.
So it was a great opportunity to learn about a new world ✨.
The flavor and depth of the sake was very impressive.
What made me happy was that it tastes so good warmed up 🍶.
I have the image that sake that tastes good when heated is well made.
It's been cold here for a while now, so it warmed up nicely 😌.
Unexpected gifts 🍶.
I don't often choose my own brands when I receive gifts, so my expectations are low, but my enjoyment is twice as high: ‼️
Now it's time to uncork the bottle 🍾!
It's exactly what it looks like! Light and dry ✨ with a clean finish
Finished in a day with a crisp finish ✨♨️
Overwhelming rice flavor from the first bite!
The shock of the rice flavor, which leaves no time to think about sweet or spicy, is just what you would expect from Uonuma, a rice-producing region, and I love it.
It has a heavy mouthfeel, as it is called "rich umakuchi," and has a robust flavor typical of 80% polished sake, which is not typical of Niigata sake.
When served cold, it has a slightly alcoholic aftertaste. When heated, the sweetness increases and the sharpness becomes more balanced.
Clear and colorless with brilliance, viscosity is strong (alc15).
The aroma is pleasant, with a slightly fruity aroma of sweetness and umami mixed together.
The first impression is clear and the umami flavor spreads, and the lingering aftertaste is sharp and tasty, making you want to drink it again.
