It is clear with yellowish tints and has aromas of soy sauce and Kamishinko. The attack is rather strong, with mild acidity and mild sweetness, and a rather long finish.
First time to drink Tsuki no I shiboritate (new sake). I got the sake on hold at the liquor store and went home to my parents' house in Yamagata 🚙.
I was excited to open the bottle! Surprisingly, it is very fruity! Juicy, thick, sweet fruitiness! Like a large muscat!
After that, the power and dry sharpness of the Tsuki no I are pushed in quickly 💪.
Don't be caught off guard by the mouthfeel that makes you forget about the 20° 😅.
I also drank it heated. The umami that is typical of Tsuki no I came out with a bang, and the fruitiness followed later.
It was delicious even after it cooled down, and you could enjoy it slowly.
Hi Nanka Yokai 😃!
I've got a bottle of Ibaraki sake Tsuki no I Shiboritate for Yamagata!
I'm sure it's a nice, relaxing sake to savor at your parents' house 😋 and 20 degrees 😳 that's dangerous if you forget 😅.
Good evening, Jay & Nobby!
I was wondering if I would be able to pick it up at the end of my trip home after the new year. I was thinking that I would receive it at the end of my trip home, but the time worked out well and I was able to bring it back to you 😄Wow, it's amazing that it's as strong as shochu and makes you forget about it 💦.
Compared to the Junmai Ginjo the other day, I actually prefer the Honjozo, so I bought it.
I was surprised to learn that I was a Junmai lover.
It is easy to drink and refreshing, and come to think of it, I have liked it for a long time.
Oarai Tsuki no I🌙
I told the store owner that I wanted something well-balanced but a little crisp, and he recommended this one!
I'm so glad it was as good as I requested!
I heard it's best when paired with heated bluefish or anglerfish 🐟.
I'll give it a try next time 😊.
We compared Oarai's sake, junmai ginjo and honjozo.
The junmai has a gentle rice flavor that goes well with both light monkfish meat and rich monkfish liver.
We are happy to taste the local flavor.
The last one is Tsuki no I from Oarai.
A classic dry sake with a full of old sake-like flavor.
I think it is suitable for warming sake.
The last sake was a bit heavy, but it was delicious.
It is a strong sake that aims at the limit (numerical value) of sake.
The aroma is like burnt barley and enadryl.
It is bitter and spicy! The impact is evident in the high alcohol content.
Aromatic grain flavor. Reminiscent of whiskey.
Grain acidity.
The umami is solid (firm and tight)!
It is sharp and spicy after swallowing.
Thanks to the fact that it is a honjozo, it doesn't lean.
Let's drink it slowly.
Taste 3.5/5
This will be a comment from an amateur sake lover. Today I visited the Tsukii Sake Brewery in Oarai, Ibaraki. I was able to purchase some of the sake here. I also had the precious opportunity to talk with the master brewer. He gave us an in-depth talk about his philosophy of sake brewing and what Tsuki no I is all about. It was a great learning experience. I am grateful for the opportunity. Today, I also bought some anglerfish boiled in soy sauce and paired it with Oarai's wonderful sake! I have enjoyed drinking Hiko-ichi for a long time, but each time the taste matures, or rather, each time is a once-in-a-lifetime experience. I am thankful to be able to drink good sake today in good health.
