Today I took a little trip to Ako 😀 My main purpose was to visit Oishi Shrine, a Shinto and Buddhist sacred site in the ruins of Ako Castle. My first goal was to get a red seal at Oishi Shrine, a sacred place for gods and Buddha, located in the ruins of Ako Castle, and my second goal was to visit Okufuji-san, a sake brewery in Sakagoe, a neighborhood of Ako famous for its oysters 😀. After successfully getting a red seal at Oishi Shrine, we walked about 16 kilometers to Okufuji-san while looking at the Seto Inland Sea 😀 We were given a tasting at the brewery. After having a tasting at the brewery, we went to a restaurant right in front of the brewery and had a set of sake tasting while eating 😀 The most delicious was this Chushin. Especially delicious was this Chushingura 47 Cattle Set 😀. It is a junmai ginjo made from 47% Yamadanishiki, which was polished to match the 47 samurai in the Chushingura story. Yesterday I declared that I would not buy any sake for the time being, but today we ended up buying this sake and a bottle of Otome Nama Sake, a limited edition sake from the brewery, as souvenirs for ourselves 🤣. I'm glad I got permission from the wife 😇.

Good morning Yasbaye 😃 If you go far to the brewery, you can't not buy the sake 😊 so you make a lot of excuses and pretend the declaration never happened... 😁 you are a convicted criminal when you go to a place where you are forced to buy sake 🤣.

Hello, Wakata 😀 The town of Ako, Ako Castle and Oishi Shrine are wonderful places, but the old streets around the sake brewery in Sakagoe are also wonderful, so please visit there😇. In winter, the oysters are definitely delicious 🙆‍♂️

Hi Rafa papa 😀 Originally, I and Orin shared the same hobby of visiting temples and shrines and hiking in the mountains, but recently we look for sake breweries nearby when we do our preliminary research on a map 🤣. Please let me accompany you again on your sake brewery tour in Hokusetsu 🙇.

It flows through the taste buds, leaving a pineapple and muscat-like sweetness on the tongue. I purchased this bottle after visiting a sake brewery during a trip to Ako in November. I gave it to a friend as a souvenir and we drank it together🍶. There was a sales office in the brewery and a pretty laid back brewery guy came out and let us sample a variety ✨. He said, "If you don't like it, you don't have to buy it..." but you'd come this far to buy something👍. The cattle set has a fruity taste and is easy to drink max ❗️ On the other hand, I also tasted the garden sake that bouken-san used to drink, which is an interesting sake with a peculiar sour taste that I personally prefer.

Good evening, Mr. Yoohee 😃. I'm curious about the cattle set, but it's pretty pricey so I'd like to at least try a tasting 😁. There are stores that carry Otome but they only sell bottles 💦I wonder what it tastes like🤔.

Good morning, bouken. ☀︎ Yes, the price is high, so it's more like a gift than for yourself 💧. You can taste this one at the brewery too 🎵. I bought one for myself because I had never seen Otome Junmai before👍.

I heard you like Japanese sake," a customer told me. The sake is from Ako City, Hyogo Prefecture, and is called "Chushingura. It is a very high alcohol content (17%), so when I heated it up yesterday, it had a strong alcoholic taste, so I warmed it up lukewarm tonight. It's better to warm it up lukewarm because it has more umami.

It is easy to drink and refreshing. The aroma of steamed cloth is suppressed, and the sweetness of rice and carmelized aroma are accompanied by a moderate sourness. The taste and drinkability of the sake are well balanced.

The rice polishing ratio of 47%, which is multiplied by the number of Yoshinin, is indeed highly aromatic. It has both a cool melon aroma and a sweet peach aroma. The dryness at the end of the bottle is also good. The stylish wine-like label.
