Today I opened a bottle of Sogen that I bought at a local liquor store 😀.
The Noto Peninsula earthquake that occurred on January 1, 2024, caused severe damage to the region, and after half a year, infrastructure such as roads and waterworks have finally been restored. In the midst of all this, this bottle was finally bottled in August 2024. ☝️
The aroma is elegant and mellow 🤔The taste of rice is full of flavor 😊The elegant mouthfeel goes smoothly down your throat 😘The aftertaste is sharp 😚The taste is mellow and dry and you will not get tired of drinking it. It's a mellow dry type that you don't get tired of drinking 🥰.
It is sure to be a tasty one even when heated up 😋.
Good morning, Maechen 😃.
A powerful one for the restoration! My goal to travel to Hokuriku is not going to be possible this year 🥲 but next year I would like to enjoy Hokuriku sake there 🤗.
Good evening, Jay & Nobby 🌃😀
I wandered over to the liquor store to buy some sake and got it 😊I'm glad to see that Sogen is recovering well 🥰J&N's visit to Hokuriku, I'm omachi 🥳👍.
Umami and sharp, easy-drinking sake
Good balance that you will never get tired of.
I want to drink Sogen again.
Sake degree / +3
Acidity/1.6
Amino acidity/1.8
It tastes like clean water and rice, but I thought it was a little twitchy.
I couldn't tell at the time I drank it, but the guy at the store tasted it and said it was twitchy. I was relieved😅.
It didn't taste like this when I tasted it.
I saw a review that said it's like Sogen but fruity and sweet, so I'd like to try it again.
This is my fourth hiyaoroshi this month.
I was able to have Sogen for the first time. ☺️ hiyaoroshi means that the sake withstood the earthquake 🍶I was deeply moved. I took good care of it. There is not much aroma and a hint of sweetness. It has a lot of acidity and a great sense of umami 😊I think it is what you would call dry, but you don't feel the high alcohol content, and it has a smooth texture that makes it easy to drink. It's delicious. ☺️It ran out quickly too.
