Dai
A Junmai Dry Sake representative of Kochi, named after the "Eight Plans for the Boat" written by Ryoma Sakamoto on board a ship. It has a mellow aroma derived from the rice, with a hint of the delicious rice flavor, and a dry and refreshing finish 😋. It has a punchy but well-balanced taste, especially with fish dishes. ☺️We had it with Yose-nabe tonight 🍲.

Almost no aroma. First of all, there is a sense of rice in the mouth, It is quite dry, followed by a sharp acidity. After passing through, the umami spreads and the pungency of alcohol A bit of bitterness. It has more graininess than the usual red Funaka Hachisaku. It is delicious. Goes well with sashimi. Taste level 4/5

It was Ryoma Sakamoto's birthday, so I opened a bottle of this sake. (I remembered it in the morning of the day and bought a bottle on the way home, thinking that it was a Tosa sake. ㊙️) The aroma is more fruity than I imagined. A little sourness. It is quite faint. When you drink it, the umami of the rice comes gradually, but it cuts off before it spreads too much. This is a nice dry sake 🍶 It is a classic dry sake for when you want a dry sake. I think I would like to pair it with bonito. It has no strange sweetness, so you can drink it with Japanese food for a long time. It was a sake that I enjoyed deeply. By the way, I was looking up Sakamoto Ryoma while drinking this sake, and found out that he died on the same day, November 15. (Both are on the lunar calendar).

Good morning, Kotaro 😃. I see that 11/15 is your birthday and the anniversary of your death 😳I've only had Funakakuhasaku outside 😅I understand why you would want to drink it with bonito 🤗It's a good food sake 😚.

Hi Jay & Nobby, ☀️ I was surprised to see that Ryoma's birth and death dates are both on November 15 👀. After all, Kochi's dry sake is bonito 👍It's like a middle-of-the-road food sake without the peculiarities, and it goes well with both sake and food: ☺️
