I picked up Gorohachi for the first time in a while. It has a mysterious taste, sweet at first as it goes down your throat, but dry at the end.
My father, who passed away two years ago, loved this sake. Looking closely at the label, it says "liqueur. I had never heard of it before.
I have not been drinking much recently, but I like nigori sake rather a lot, and I also like Shiroki from Koshinohomare and Niseko. Both were slightly effervescent.
With liqueur
Strong sweetness, firm aroma of sake lees like amazake
Some pickle-like aroma
The alcohol is quite strong and grueling, but the sweetness is so strong that it feels easy to drink.
The alcohol content is 21%.
It is quite drinkable.
Winter season word, Gorohachi, I want Gorohachi next to my hot pot.
This season is here again this year!
Sweet but refreshing,
It is crisp, yet rich,
The rich flavor that flows smoothly,
It's delicious this year, too!
I really love this moment in winter!
However, the price of Gorohachi has gone up.
The price of 720ml is now over 1,000 yen...

Once again, I thought that Goromaru was an amazing rugby player.
I think there are quite a few people who see Gorohachi and think of Goromaru (laughs).
This one is the flavor of rice~.
It also has a sweet taste. The alcohol content is 21 degrees. I think it tastes good when mixed with soda or other drinks.
By the way, it seems to be read as Gorohachi, not Gorohachi.
Okinawa (1)
Went to Okinawa with high school classmates (1st year classmates).
One of my classmates is working again in Okinawa before retirement. We visited with 6 of us. We, the first group, went to Haneda for the first meeting (3 beer mugs 🍻).
When we arrived at Naha airport, our classmate who lives in Okinawa picked us up, checked in at the hotel, and went to Robatayaki right away because we were hungry!
After drinking Orion beer, I decided to try some Japanese sake.
There were some Hokusetsu, Tateyama, etc., but I went with Gorohachi, which I had never had before!
This was nigori sake, and it was just like that!
Sweet, slightly sour, easy to drink 😋.
It was gone in no time 🤣.
After that we drank a lot of Awamori and had some Bitaro (fish)? Then we went to the shochu bar, where they had shochu shochu (shochu liquor)! I thought 🍶, there is Shichida shochu, I didn't know there was such a thing! I tried to drink it. It is indeed a shochu liquor!
We finished with Okinawan buckwheat noodles at a buckwheat noodle shop!
I already drank too much from the first ride 😝 but I guess that's the end of sake in Okinawa, right?
Good morning, Takashi!
You always have really great friendships and fun ✨
A big party to visit your friends who are doing well in the new place - looks like fun just to watch 😁✨✨✨.
Hi Takashi 😃
You are really a good friend of mine ‼️ I guess we are all going to Okinawa together 🏝️ sounds like fun 😆 Okinawa is all about Orion beer and Awamori 🍺.
I hope you have a lot of fun! Have a safe trip home too✈️
Hi HinaHanaMama 😊
When I was a student, I never imagined that I would have so much fun in the future 😆.
I have a lot of work to do, but since I'm here, I'm going to enjoy Okinawa to the fullest 🥰.
Goro-hachi!
It is a seasonal tradition!
But I didn't realize this was a liqueur, not sake.
Shocking, yet easy to drink.
Well, there is a liqueur too, I thought.
Yes, it makes sense!
Anyway, it's Gorohachi!
4.0
Solid, heavy, and thick.
Ama-Uma-Uma
The aftertaste is outstandingly sharp, typical of Niigata!
Because of its high alcohol content, it is a sake to be drunk slowly and gradually in winter.
Gorohachi [Nigori Sake] [Autumn/Winter only
Alcohol content 21%.
100% Niigata rice
I left Iyari-ri for tomorrow, so I opened a bottle of Gorohachi which was in the refrigerator.
By the way, this is treated as a liqueur.
When I drank it again, I realized that it has grains of rice, a thickened taste, and sweetness, which explains why it has been popular for a long time. The owner of a liquor store in my neighborhood loves this and keeps a lot of bottles aged every year. I haven't visited him recently, so I might drop by this weekend for the first time in a while 😄.

Nigori sake, which is not usually drunk very often.
When you put it in your mouth, it has a subtle sweetness and the aroma of sake lees spreads and is nice.
It is not too sweet and finishes with a tangy spiciness.
You can drink it quickly without getting tired of it.
The color is pure white.
Cold, on the rocks: sweetness and alcohol can be felt.
Kikusui's nigori sake.
Nigori-zake is often thought to be lactic acidic, slightly carbonated, or thickened, but for those who do not like such things, this sake is easy to drink as it is similar to regular sake.
It goes well with salted squid.
