This is Sawanoizumi, which is also new to us. It was a special order from Sake-no-Kawashima.
It smelled a little, and the acidity and sweetness were impressive...
I also had a bottle of Raku no se.
It's high in alcohol content and has a pineapple-like taste, but it's delicious. It's too strong to drink at home though😅.
It's lighter and easier to drink than the Raku-no-Se that I drank at home.
After we parted, Yoohee and I went to the neighborhood liquor store, which is becoming a regular event 😁.
We arrived at the nearest station around 10:30pm, but it was almost 11:30pm when we got home 😅.
Lastly, I know it must have been hard work for you to organize the meeting, choose the restaurant, and coordinate the schedule, but thank you very much for your hard work in organizing the meeting 🙇.

Sawanoizumi, a brand I first learned about three years ago when I went to Naruko Onsen
I went to Naruko Onsen three years ago and learned about this brand for the first time.
It is a relatively new brewery founded by Taisho
80% of their shipments are from Tome, a region within the prefecture.
Is it a sake that is closely connected to the local community?
The Honjozo is more deeply flavored than the Junmai.
It is also wonderful when heated.
This Honjozo Nama sake is not specially polished,
It is not specially polished.
Aruzoe honjozo inexpensive sake
Not watered down to make it easier to drink.
It is a drinkable sake in its original state.
I feel the high level of the brewery.
A brewery that makes good honjozo is good.

A gift from Sawanoizumi
The Jun Dai I drank before was a Miyagi sake, beautifully light and dry, and I felt (selfishly) the earnestness of the toji (master brewer).
I had an image of a modest, but firm, light, dry Kura.
And then there is this special pure Sawanoizumi.
It does not have much of a topping aroma, but the mouthfeel is surprisingly sweet and umami! It is sweet to the level of the Hitakami, and the robust umami is also very tasty! It has a light acidity and bitterness, followed by a refreshing sharpness.
It's good! This is good!
The price is relatively cheap, about 1300 yen for a four-pack, but it is convincing enough!
Ishikoshi Brewery. I underestimated you. Sorry about that.
Sake is so interesting because there are new discoveries even at the foot of the table like this!

It is very difficult to choose the right souvenirs when traveling. Should I choose a sake that can only be purchased in the prefecture, such as Yamahai or Shinshu from major breweries like Urakasumi or Ichinokura, or should I buy a real local sake like Sawanoizumi, Atago no Matsu, or Wagashikuni? It's a happy choice.
Miyagi-shu is one of the most well-balanced sake in the Tohoku region, and I personally have a very high opinion of it. Everyone should go back to the basics and try Miyagi-shu again.
Now, should I buy Wataya's nama-hara or Ichinokura's barrel sake? 。。。。。。
I wish someone could tell me the right answer.

Honjozo 🍶 fresh stored sake✨
A good, albeit alsodense, taste. Dry aftertaste. Slightly bitter. Mild when paired with salmon. ☺️ Sweetness when paired with sea bream. It's delicious. Spicy when served with chawanmushi (steamed egg custard). Swordfish stew is the best match👍I enjoyed changing the taste to match the meal 😆.
