The sweetness is not too strong, and I felt the clean, crisp taste that is typical of Niiyu. It is a well-balanced product.

I wanted to try the Niiyu and Yakiniku, but the Yakiniku restaurant didn't have any Sake when I asked, and I knew from someone who went there before that they had San-do, so San-do would go well with the carbonation and the wash effect 🤣.

Grain Sake produced in Kashiwa City, Chiba Prefecture.
This was the first time I drank sake made from edible rice. I could feel the sweetness and aroma of the rice. It is very easy to drink.
Niiyu Honjozo Barrel Sake
Perrier Marche in Nishi-Funabashi Station, where you can drop by on your way home from work, has a lot of (classic type) sake from Chiba Prefecture.
So, I selected some for my wife and father-in-law, hoping they would like them.
The result was... "Delicious!
The aroma is very oaky (cedar?). The mouthfeel is slightly sweet,
Slightly sweet on the palate, with a robust umami flavor in the mid-palate,
The aftertaste is dry and slightly lingering.
It is a classic, heavy cask sake.
Preferred Score: 6.0/10

→ Not to my taste, but this is a delicious bottle.
