We took a trip to Kinugawa Onsen on the weekend, so we opened the bottle to relieve the fatigue of driving.
This is a bottle of Hoshisen that Mr. Takeshon gave me at the Tokyo Off-line Meeting.
It's a rare bottle that few stores in Japan carry, so I'm really grateful! 🙇♂️
The only sake I drink with yeast in mind is No. 6, but this one seems to be brewed with No. 5 yeast.
The sweet aroma lured me in and I took a sip.
The sweetness and umami flavor is very strong and expands at once.

At first I thought it was too sweet, but gradually I got used to it and drank it down. 🤣

Am I the only one who thinks dry sake goes well with summer? It is an inexpensive local sake from the Chita area, but I would be happy if it spreads throughout Japan. I stopped by the "Japanese Sake Breweries Exhibition 2023" at JR Nagoya Takashimaya and tasted a few sakes from various breweries in a tiny tasting cup 😋.
I didn't make any notes, so my impression of the taste was normal, unimpressive, or unmemorable 😅🙏🙏.
I went there with a empty stomach, so I was drunk by the end 🥴.
