Sake Day Also Sake from Tochigi
Sake from Tochigi Rikishi, where there is a cave brewery where we went on our summer vacation.
The summer sake was great, so I had high expectations!
I wonder if this one was aged in a cave.
Well, it was kind of watery and left an alcohol smell...not my favorite type 😭.
There are so many different types of sake from the same brewery!
This year's East Rikishi is different: ❗️
Complex taste. It has a unique aroma, but once you drink it, it is refreshingly dry. It tastes like Azuma Rikishi.
I imagined it would be light because of its super dry taste, but the umami came first, followed by the sharpness, and I was betrayed in a good way. Thank you very much, Mr. Torikishi. We recommend that you visit the brewery and taste the sake before making your selection.

Visit Shimazaki Sake Brewery in Nasukarasuyama, Tochigi
I was curious about a sake brewery called Dokutsu Sake Brewery.
I went there!
And I tasted a delicious sake as a souvenir!
Toukishi Soukai Jungin Drunken Summer
I took some home and enjoyed it right away!
I can't taste the 🍉 but lol
It has a refreshing taste, but with an apple-like sweetness and sourness.
apple-like sweetness and sourness
I put ricotta cheese from Senbonmatsu Ranch in my salad with my homemade dressing🍯🍋🫒 and it goes perfectly with this drink 😃.
I'm sure I'm enjoying the aftermath of my trip at home as well: ☺️
Now I want to take a relaxing sake trip to Tochigi!
Rinako-san, hi 😃.
Exploring the caves of Shimazaki Sake Brewery! I've never been there yet 🥲It's great that you can enjoy Tochigi souvenirs 🧀 and sake 🍶 with your travel memories as a snack 👍.
Let's have a toast in Utsunomiya next time 🤗.
Good evening, Jay & Nobby 🌇The cave was very exciting for my two sons! We are still basking in the afterglow of our trip to Tochigi with our souvenirs 😆.
I'd like to make a toast in Utsunomiya! I'd love to! I'd love to 🍶.
It is a diversity sake with a retro taste but with a refreshing aspect. We highly recommend that you come to the brewery and taste the sake to make your selection.â
