The first new sake of the year, Sawanoi's Ichiban-kumi. A bottle bottled this morning. The aroma is clean and refreshing. Slightly rummy.
Umai! Umami that bursts in the mouth. The astringent taste is wildly bouncing around. It's so strong. It's quite high at 19 degrees. As a certain izakaya claims, it looks delicious with soda. I feel that Sawanoi has had enough of autumn sake, so I can enjoy mainly new sake from now on. I am looking forward to the brewery opening tomorrow!
I am usually mainly from western Japan, but this is the first time I bought sake from Tokyo.
I didn't know they made sake in Tokyo.

It's called junmai dry but the aroma is sweet ‼️
It's not that dry when you drink it, but it's soaked with sweetness and umami 🍶.

The label looks quite classic. I haven't had it yet, but I heard it once won a gold medal for heated sake, so maybe it changes when heated 🤔.

Sawanoi's hiyaoroshi junmai genzake.
It has a very strong attack because it is a pure sake. For a moment, I thought, "Oh? Melon-like sweetness..." Before you can finish the thought, your mouth is dominated by a burning alcohol taste and a rich flavor. The strong flavor, combined with a slightly powdery texture, clings to the tongue. Is this Sawanoi's third autumn sake? I wish they would make more of an official appeal. I found out about this one when I went to a liquor store on a whim and found out at the store.
