I saw on Instagram that Goryo's new sake was in the market.
I went to buy it with my husband who loves Goryo.
Well, let's open the bottle🎉.
There is not much aroma.
It tastes like a slight sweetness of rice.
I have had Goryo's Junmai Ginjo, Red Label Tokujun, and one made with Hakodate Kosen yeast, but compared to these three, this Goryo is a bit lacking.
To be honest, I feel it is a bit lacking.
I was expecting a fresher taste, so I was a little disappointed.
If I warmed it up, maybe my impression would change.

It says "dry" on the bottle! But it's definitely more crisp and not as sweet as the Kitashizuku Jun Dai, but delicious ✨.
The bitterness of the Ginpu is exquisite 🥰, not too sweet but still has umami.
Today, we had a fun protein-filled feast of pork cutlet and grilled mackerel, and it was a really luxurious drinking experience: ❤️

First up is this Kitashizuku.
Good ‼️😋silky clear😋.
It seems a little light and thin.
As is typical of junmai daiginjos, there is very little miscellaneous flavor.
The main flavor is umami and a little less sweetness than that, with a smooth mouthfeel as if the grains are nicely aligned👍.
It is easy to drink. ⚠️

It has a slightly melon-like flavor, a sharp acidity, and a bitter taste in the back that tightens up the flavor, making it crisp, easy to drink, and delicious.

This is a souvenir from my husband's recent business trip to southern Hokkaido✨.
Goryo itself is not widely available outside of Hakodate, but this Hakodate National College of Technology Brewing Lab is probably only available in Hakodate.
Now, as for the taste...
It has a slightly fruity aroma and a nice sweetness in the mouth.
There is no bitterness or other unpleasant taste!
It's been about 2 years since I had it before, so I can't compare, but it's quite tasty!
If I'm not careful, I'm sure I'll run out of the 4-pack bottle soon😅.
If you have a chance to go to Hakodate (I guess some liquor stores in Sapporo have it), I recommend you to capture it!
