This week we have seasonal sake! So, we are moving up the order and having spring sakes! Today's sake is Tenbi by Choshu Shuzo! This time it's Momoten! I was looking forward to drinking it! Let's start with the first sip! The first day First, the aroma. I don't feel much aroma. When you put it in your mouth, you will feel the sweetness and chili. In the middle, the fruity aroma with a bitterness that gradually fades away is blissful. The lingering aftertaste is a little salty and chili, and it is delicious! When it is nigori, the taste is a little thicker, but the fresh sweetness is also good! The bitter and salty taste is stronger than the supernatant. It also has a gaseous taste, but milder than the supernatant. Day 2 The bitterness has become weaker and the sweetness is more pronounced. Still, the dry gaseous taste refreshes the palate, so it is not too sweet and tastes great today! When nigori is used, the sweetness is mild again today. I still have the impression that the bitterness is stronger than the supernatant, so it goes well with the mild sweetness. It was my first time to taste Momoten, and it was very juicy and delicious!

Thunberg's geranium (Geranium thunbergii) Slight aroma, smooth attack. The taste is umami-guchi type dry. It goes in smoothly and has a good sharpness. Accompanied by myoga (Japanese ginger), amamame (green soybeans), and hatsuatsukatsuo (dried bonito). Spring is in full bloom 🤣.
