I wanted the nama-shu, but considering that I would be bringing it back from my trip, I bought the fire-brewed version!
When I drank it, it was juicy and very tasty, just like the nama-shu!
It was gorgeous, with just the right amount of sweetness and umami, and I guess you could say it had a lot of depth to it. I felt the depth and it was just delicious!
My daughter says, "This is the first time I've had sake where I could really taste the rice! I think it's similar to Higashi-Kaizakari from Koizumi Shuzo in Chiba Prefecture! The aroma is a sweet ginjo aroma💜You can tell just by the aroma how good it tastes😋The initial attack is a dark taste of wasanbon sugar, followed by a firm spiciness that is delicious‼️It is not an easy-drinking sake, but a sake with a full-on umami with a lot of gusto.
The fridge was getting lonely, so it was time to go to the liquor store.
I quickly found the sake I wanted, and as I rummaged around the store, there it was. A bottle of my favorite.
This year, the rice is less intense.
The aroma is still restrained.
Sweetness is also restrained, but it may be just right for this sake rice. Light richness. It is difficult to describe, but please forgive me. The acidity is added in a nice salty way, and the spiciness finishes it off well at the end.
This may be my favorite of the year.
