This sake is like a sake version of "Horoiyoi". Other people have said it is like Spodori or Calpis, but you can really drink it like a juice. It has a slight sake-like taste, but it is not enough for those who are used to drinking sake.
The instant I drank it, I thought it was apple juice.
The sweetness is followed by a sourness that goes away quickly.
It can be drunk like wine or shochu, so I think it will be popular among young women and people overseas.
Since I was going to the gym at night, I thought it would be okay if the alcohol content was low, but it is true that I did not get drunk, probably because it is 5%. (I'll give it some time before I go, so I'll be fine.)
I felt like eating French fries when I drank it.
Here are today's drinks 💁.
This is the much talked about Gekkeikan Argo from Kyoto.
My impression of this drink is that it is well made.
Between you and me, I just came back from Corona and my taste buds are probably stupid due to the aftereffects 🤫.
I was really curious because you guys posted it and I found it at Yamaya and just had to pick it up 😆.
Spodolis with 5 degrees of alcohol 😆😆😆😆.
It's just plain delicious. 👍
The 3 deci I tried was good enough for me.
It's not enough for me, though, so it would be nice to have something else to drink. 🤔
Hello Swissisusan 🐦.
I vote for another bottle of something 😆.
This is really what you guys (and me too, wow) are drinking 😳 25 check-ins with Swississusan! Almost in a month 😆.
I was curious about this drink after seeing your post, I was looking for 3 deci and my son brought me a quart bottle 😅.
I was slammed in the morning and didn't have lunch and had cheese bread for dinner.
I drank it with it and it was delicious. It sure is like a sports drink.
The second day reminded me of the taste of water medicine I used to drink when I had a cold.
Good evening Lutertemi, you are drinking 😁.
Your son is kind! And a 4-pack 😍.
With 4 bottles, you can enjoy the taste change the next day 👌
Water pills for colds 😆 I miss them! I used to drink more than the scale because it tasted so good 😆.
Hi Lutemi 🐦.
Oooh 😳 it's a quadruple bottle! The pictures are fresh 😆 this really is a good tea substitute 😆 water pills, I'm good at them too, I was in the camp of wanting more 🤣.
Hi Pon 😁.
I drank it in gulps 😆 I like the fact that I can drink it without hesitation, but it is not my favorite drink to go with Japanese food. I'm not a big fan of drinking it with Japanese food 🤣.
☀️
Argo is not the movie that won an Oscar 🎬...but the one that's all the rage around here 😎.
I finally found it after visiting my local supermarket and convenience store to catch the big wave 🌊🙌🙌
I'll open a bottle right away 😄
Thin sweetness and sourness. I wonder if the sourness is assertive. It's like apple juice 🍎.
No ginjo aroma as expected 🤗.
The texture is more watery than usual 💧.
Certainly feels like Calpis or a sports drink 😉.
This could be a new wave 🌊🤗.
Good evening, Hiro-san.
I also remembered Ben Affleck's Argo when I first heard this name: 🎬️
It may be difficult to find the right cost and concept, but personally, I wish the taste was a little stronger 😅.
Good evening, bouken 🌙
Oh you are with ❗️ movie 🎬😄🤝.
It's true that it's light in flavor, so it's not enough for regular sake drinkers 😅I hope they come up with a thicker version next time 😆.
Pon, good evening 🌙
Yes, it can be schwar or thick 🤔.
I wish they made such an algo, but I'm willing to try it myself 🤗.
It will cost you money to buy the algo + carbonation though 😅
I found the one you are talking about and bought it to try 🍶.
It's been a while since I've had a "Gekkeikan" itself!
When you open the bottle and pour it, it has a sweet aroma like honey.
The mouthfeel is smooth and light. The balance of softness, lightness, sweetness, and acidity makes it a sports drink, which is understandable!
The aftertaste is also refreshing and not at the level of a junmai sake, so I feel it is more accessible to sake beginners than to those new to sake👍.
300 is empty in an instant.
I wonder if it is the taste and drinkability that only Fushimi sake can produce... it makes me think a lot 😌.
Hi stst 🐦.
I was wondering what it tasted like too, but it was gone before I had a chance to drink it🤣It's so smooth and easy to drink 😊.
It's true! It's good for beginners 👍
Good morning, Pon-chan!
It's a bit different from what you'd expect from a sake, but it's easy to drink and not too alcoholic, which is a strong point that could be served at an izakaya ✨.
I bought it a while ago because it was the subject of a petit flame war on X by a new political believer who gave it a bad review.
I was looking for 3㌥ because a lot of stores only carry 4gou and 7-Eleven had it 😊.
It's sweet and sour with a lactic acid-like sourness. Like everyone says, it's like a sports drink.
I don't think it's as thin as people say, but it's still thin 🤔.
It doesn't have much flavor and I feel like I'm missing something.
I realized after I bought it that it is a junmai sake.
But I wonder if I want to try sake after drinking this?
I wish they would name it something like "Gatton Mikan" or "Gatton Argo" and give it a strong flavor.
Hi bouken 🐦.
I would drink it too if it was as thick as you say 🤣Gutton and Argo 🤔I think I prefer the thicker ones even if I don't drink alcohol.
I'm glad it's light, so I hope they can make more improvements to make it more popular 😊.
Hi bouken😊
I didn't realize it was junmai sake until you mentioned it 😳.
Gattun and Argo, that's nice 🤣I want one too!
I'll have to consider raising the alcohol content and the al "go" in the name 🤣.
Good evening, Pon-chan.
I was just pulled in because I had just eaten a huge bowl of mandarin oranges 😁.
Personally, if I'm going to drink this, I'll just drink a chu-hai 😅.
I hope this is not the end of the story 🤗
Maru-san, good evening 🌃
Before I bought it, I assumed it was alsobe, not good 😅.
I completely forgot it was a 5% go 🤣.
Must be technically difficult to thicken it with 5% 🤔.
Purchased at a convenience store after not drinking enough on a business trip.
Easy to drink, but too sweet and low alcohol for me...
I drank it with a strong shochu liqueur.
I had it with nuts as a side dish.
Mr. Spotted Rumor.
You are all amazing. If you drink it thinking it's Spodori, it's Spodori.
As soon as you switch to the sake head, it's oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo.
Well, there are pros and cons 😁.
The direction of the taste is one of my favorites, so I wish they would make a darker version of this.
Maru-chan Good evening!
You drank it 😁.
If you think and drink it, it's a sports drink!
Pros and cons! I think it's a good idea 👌
I think it's a good idea 😁
Maru, you drank 😆👍
I drink what I can buy as soon as it becomes a hot topic 🤭and was it Spodori 😆 I drank it after chasing my preconceived notions out of my head, but I was a Spodori too 🤣.
I'd like to try a dark drink: ❣️
Newly released Gekkeikan low-alcohol sake.
I tried it immediately.
It has a subtle sweet and sour taste and does not feel like sake at all 😳.
It is a sake for people who are not used to drinking sake. I wish there were more sake like this 😌.
I'm drinking at home 🎵
Found this at a hot liquor convenience store 🏪👀.
Last bottle
Tastes great 😋 if you don't think it's sake.
I had a bottle of apple cider before? I've had apple cider before, but without the carbonation? It also tastes like a sports drink like some of your comments 👌.
Easy to drink and gone in an instant 😭😋.
Good evening, Ao 😃.
It's very fast from buying it to drinking it and checking in 🏃😳.
For those of us who drink regular sake on a regular basis, it's super low in alcohol and has no gassy feeling, so you can drink it Swiss and it's really instant 😁.
Hi Ao-chan 😃
I saw Argo, in large quantities, at 7-Eleven! Since it's a hot topic, I'd like to take advantage of the sales strategy and drink it as it is. 🤣
Aladdin, good evening 😁
Aladdin I bought it because someone else was drinking it 😁 It's good but sake? It's like a sake 😰 Really Aquari!
I'm going to check in early because my fridge has been empty lately 😭 I'm going to go stock up 👌.
Good evening Robin 😁.
I found a large quantity 😁 Get on board with our sales strategy 😁.
It's 5% alcohol so 300ml won't get you drunk 😰 Looking forward to your post 😊.
Good evening, Pon-chan.
It was gone in an instant and I'm not drunk at all😁.
Is it Aquarius?
It's delicious, but I think it's not sake.
I hope this sake will be a good opportunity to increase the number of sake drinkers 😁👌👌.
Lactic acid-like sourness. My first impression is that it is thin. The impression is similar to that of Gimbleu. It is difficult to reduce the alcohol content of sake, isn't it? It is easy to drink without any unpleasant taste, but there must be various issues to be solved, such as the necessity of being sake, price competitiveness with other competing sake in terms of alcohol content, etc. However, I hope that major sake brewers will take on various challenges, because I believe that this will lead to the future of sake.
I think the concept of sake that can be drunk on weekdays is a good one.
Tax included 415 (300ml)
Hi tomy 🐦 I'm almost the same as you 😊I often drink chu-hi as my first drink when I go out.
I'm almost the same as you 😊I often drink chu-hi as my first drink when I go out, so I wish there was an alternative to that 😁I hope they manage to solve the problem and come up with something that I can drink easily 😊.
Fushimi-ku, Kyoto, Japan. Gekkeikan Brewing Company +F.
Argo Sake 5.0.
Gekkeikan's new attempt to get people to drink sake on weekdays.
Serve cold.
The initial aroma is a little sour and slightly bran-like.
The color is clear with a yellowish tinge.
The smooth mouthfeel is quickly followed by a sweet and sour taste, with a slight lactic acid bacteria taste at the back.
However, there is no alcohol taste at all.
The sweet and sour taste and the rice taste are similar to Himezen, but clearer and lighter.
It is drinkable and you can tell it is like a sports drink.
With only 5% alcohol by volume, it has less punch and a totally different attack... It is better to drink it at room temperature rather than chilled.
By the way, my wife, who does not drink alcohol, said it was "sweet" after taking a sip. My mother-in-law, who does not have much tolerance for alcohol, said, "What is this? It's so weak!" 😅I thought it was watery. My mother-in-law, who does not have much tolerance for alcohol, said, "What is this?
I would like to genuinely support the corporate efforts of the major manufacturers as more and more people don't drink sake or alcohol itself 🎌.
Ingredients: Rice (domestic), Rice Koji (domestic)
Alcohol Content:5%.
Hi Nemuchi 😃
I've seen the much talked about Argo sold in large quantities at 7-Eleven and I'd like to try it 👍It's not chilled in the store, but from the taste it seems to be better served cold than in hiya 🙄.
Good evening, Nemuchi-san 🦉.
It's nice to hear your wife's and mother-in-law's impressions of your sake 😊I drink chu-hi as my first drink when I go out, so I'm hoping to make a light sake that can compete with that 😁.
Good evening Robin 🌛I can't find it if I'm not looking for it, but it's a sake I can find if I'm not looking for it 😁In my opinion, if it's too cold it's hard to feel the flavor, it doesn't feel fizzy and I thought it's still less watery when it's cold 😅
Good evening, Pon-chan 🌛You beat me to the review 🤣Personal opinions vary, but mine was more like my mother-in-law's 😅It may be difficult to make 5% alcohol sake without any fizz 💦.
The much talked about 5% alcohol sake🍶.
I found this at Lawson.
Pale yellow, light aroma, moderate sweetness.
Sourness and a little bitterness.
Not sweet sports drink, still young with sour taste, what kind of fruit was it 🤔?
I was thinking 🤣 and then it was gone.
I like dark flavors mostly, so the less sweetness, the thinner it seems.
So if you can make it sparkling, it might be easier to drink 🤔.
I'd love to hear what people who don't like sake or have never had it before, which is probably the target audience 😊.
Good evening, Pon. 😊
I am surrounded by people who don't like sake.
I think it's for those people.
I guess it's for them. I'm sure it's just for them 😆.
A non-sweet sports drink. 😍I want to try it.
I want to try it. 😄
Good evening, Pon 😀
I see you already tried it 🤣.
I bought some too, but I'm trying to figure out when to drink it 😀.
Actually, I also bought some low-alcohol sparkling sake from Tomikunishiki the other day, so it would be nice to compare the two 😇.
Good evening, Pon 😃.
I feel like it's a hot topic in the rather core sake drinker community, but I don't talk about Argo with the sake light or non-sake drinkers, so I don't know how the original target audience perceives or appreciates it 😌.
What do you think 🤔?
Good morning, Ponchan 😁.
So you drank the hottest drink 😁.
I'll buy it when I find it in the convenience store 👌 Sports drink? I'm curious 😍 Aquari or Pocari 😰.
Hello Pon, ☀☀☀☀☀☀☀☀☀☀☀☀.
Sandesi "Argo" 🍶.
This looks like just the right amount of drunkenness if you want to get your hands on it 😁.
The four-pack is... hard to get my hands on 🤣.
Hi Hanapin 🐦.
It tastes strange 😆 less sweet, but perhaps the flavor gives the illusion of sweetness 🤔 I just drank Pocari Sweat the other day, so it's not sweeter than that 😂👍
Hi Yasbay 🐦.
Nice comparison 😏My impression is that this would be easier to drink if it were sparkling! I think the brewer didn't dare to do so because it is just like sake 🤔.
Hi Tsuyodai 🐦.
It's just my opinion, sports drinks are easier to drink because they are sweeter 🤭I wish they were at least a little schwaggy.... I'm not in the target audience, so you might say I don't need that feedback 😂.
Hi Aladdin 🐦.
You are so right 👍I know you are all daily sake drinkers, including me 😅.
It's a totally different thing, but I thought it was a great cheap and tasty chu-hai 🙏.
Hi Ao 🐦.
It seems to be sold out in some places in town 😳 Shiga, I'm in the countryside and there was one in a convenience store 😆.
I haven't had Aquari for a long time, so I don't know which side you're on 🤣.
Hi Jaive 🐦.
I know you have a four-pack 😆 if you have a group that doesn't drink out of it, I guess that's possible 🤔Jaive, I think a Sandesi will suffice for you 😁.
Pon-chan
Good morning 🤔I can't imagine why I can't taste the sake...or I don't really want to drink it 🤣but it's my nature as a drinker that I might try it 😅...
Thanks again, Kojo 😆🙏.
I wondered if it was similar to something low alu but couldn't think of it 😅I'm an omnivore, but when I hear it talked about & low alu, I want to drink it even more 😁.
