Enjoy cheap sushi at Totoro, a popular standing sushi bar under the elevated railway tracks of Himeji Station. Although it is a stand-up style sushi bar, there is always a long line of customers because of the high quality of the food. Since I was there, I asked for a local sake, Yaegaki. It was not sweet, but it was not dry either. It was about medium spicy. I am not talking about curry. I had it cold, but I feel it is all-around good at room temperature or hot. It's great for a kotteri type of stuff.

For souvenirs, we went to Yaegaki's store at Himeji Station 😄I bought a limited edition special junmai recommended to me ✨. The aroma is fresh and muscat-like 😚The taste is fresh and the acidity comes forward and is refreshing ✨It has a nice sharpness 😊I felt like it would be a delicious sake for the summer 🥳.

Purchased at a convenience store at a train station. Maybe I just don't know about it, but I have not heard much about this brand. Junmai (pure rice) with a 65% rice polishing ratio. It has a simple, unpretentious taste. It tastes a little astringent. The aroma has a nice sweetness. According to the website, it is recommended to be served hot as an in-dinner drink. But since I was on the Shinkansen train, I kept it at room temperature. Thank you for the sake.

Yaegaki Shuzo Yaegaki Aono Mu Forgot one of the souvenirs 💦. As far as I remember, this one is better. I like this one better 😘. It's more dry but not bad at all‼️ The recommendation was cold and it suited my palate great‼️ IWSC🥇🎊 in 2016 Raw material rice: 22% Yamadanishiki, 78% Gohyakumangoku Polishing ratio: 50%. ■ Alcohol: 15%. ■ Sake meter: +1 Acidity: 1.2 Amino acidity: 1.7

Yaegaki Junmai 300ml One of the two bottles of Yaegaki Shuzo that I got as a present. One of two bottles 🍶 from the Yaegaki Sake Brewery that I received as a gift. It's from Hyogo Prefecture ❕. It's been a while since I smelled something that smelled like sake 🤪. Taste - well balanced 👌 It's even easier to drink when it melts over ice 🧊. 八重垣　純米吟醸山田錦ひやおろし限定 Yaegaki Junmai Ginjo Yamadanishiki Hiyaoroshi Gentei 精米歩合　60% Seimaibuai アルコール　15％ Alcohol Soft, smooth mouthfeel. Really easy to drink, as is. We were “sampling” this a bit too much; let’s try it with food! Mmmm. It pairs really well with sashimi & sushi (鮭, あわび, 鰤, マグロ, 中トロ). This Yaegaki ヤヱガキ even pairs nicely with ラ　フランス pears but not so well with 柿の種 senbei.

I wanted to eat at "Yamayoshi" for dinner in Himeji, where the conger eel was freshly cooked over charcoal in the restaurant. I wanted to eat at "Yamayoshi", but I was not hungry yet, However, I was not hungry yet, so I decided to take out this time. I paired it with sake that I bought at the souvenir shop in Himeji station. This is the first time I saw this brewery. Rice polishing ratio: 65 Alcohol content: 15%. It has a strong rice flavor, a white-bean aroma, and a mild, slightly sweet taste on the palate. It has a mild sweetness on the palate with a bitter aftertaste, which is not the current trend, but it is very tasty. I was worried about my cat Forte after his hospitalization and surgery in the summer. Forte. Now his appetite is back to normal and he has recovered enough to run around the house, so I can finally leave him at home 😁.
