This sake is from Akaiwa City, Okayama Prefecture.
Purchased from a discount supermarket I stopped by on a trip to Okayama (one day trip to wander around Bizen City and Setouchi City).
I wonder how long it has been since I had a sake from Okayama.
It is rich, full-bodied, sweet and sour. It would be perfect for the cherry blossom season.
The aftertaste disappears rather easily.
This gentle yet floral part is very nice. It's really nice.
How about when it is heated up?
The spiciness is smooth, and the aroma is sharp like a hot wind. The sweetness is quickly followed by a slight aftertaste. It is much lighter. A refreshing acidity finishes everything off.
This is an irresistibly lovely cup with a modest yet floral appearance that makes you want to drink it again during the cherry blossom season.
Muromachi Shuzo
Omachi Rice Village Junmai Ginjyo Nama Sake
This brewery is located in Akaban City, Okayama Prefecture.
Akaban City is home to Omachi rice, the parent variety of Yamadanishiki and Gohyakumangoku rice.
Omachi rice, the parent variety of Yamadanishiki and Gohyakumangoku rice, is grown in Akaban City.
It has a subtle sweet aroma and a sour flavor.
It should be drunk cold because it is a pure sake.
#Japanese Sake
For the record.
Aged 5 years H30BY, it is colorless and transparent despite its advanced maturity. The mouthfeel is very mild and thick, like plum wine, with a rich taste of sweet and sour like Shaoxing wine.
It has a richness and acidity that would go well with Chinese food. Today's 7th glass.
Sake that feels tangy on the tongue.
I felt a refreshing flavor and drank it all at once.
I tasted this sake at Takamatsu Castle.
Takamatsu is located in Okayama. For history buffs, this castle is famous for its water invasion.
Time passed quietly as if the water invasion of the past days had never happened.
Drinking sake in a place like this is a special experience.
Hello Nobu Nobu, 🌥️
You are full of Bicchu Takamatsu Castle 😊 I haven't been here yet... It's so inspiring to know that it really was there and is connected to the present. It really is exceptional 😌.
Ponchan, you are right.
From the historical sites, you can fantasize about those days as if you were watching a movie.
There is nothing special about this place, but I recommend it!
Purchased during a visit to a sake fair in Tennoji, Osaka.
At room temperature. Slightly yellowish.
Mild with a mild taste. Not too spicy.
The aftertaste is neither long nor short.
It seems to go well with strong flavored food.
The cherry blossoms have already started to fall, but this sake is perfect for cherry blossom viewing.
I'm on a business trip again~!
Today I was in Iwaki city.
On the way back to the supermarket, I found a series of tastes that are hard to find in eastern Japan 🍶🤤🍶.
A taste of the first time 🥸🎇.
Hard to describe this series 🤣.
It's one cup so before you know it, it's a feast ヾ(**).
