On a trip to Fukuoka.
We had it with sesame mackerel and mizutaki.
Fruity, spicy? It went well with the sesame mackerel.
Delicious. My favorite flavor.
Today I went for a drink after a day trip to Tochigi!
I found "Tamade-sen", which I haven't had since my trip to Kyushu, so I thought I'd give it a try 🍶.
It has a light aroma of pear and green apple.
It has a light aroma of pears and green apples, and the mouthfeel is light and moderately dry. The mellow flavor of rice and the fruity aroma of ginjo spread gradually. This perfect balance is perfect for eating, and neutralizes the rich umami of cod roe and motsu nabe.
The quarry with a sense of ruins in Ootani and fruit picking 🍑.
I had a great time enjoying the parts of Tochigi that I don't get to visit very often👍.
Hi stst 🐦.
Oya quarry! I would love to go there✨It really is a stone, not a rock! It is 😳 and the peaches🍑 look delicious too😻 Glad you were blessed with good weather 😊.
Thank you, Pon ✨
I was just awestruck by the otherworldliness, coolness, and majesty of the stone, no wonder it's used for various filming and storage!
It's also a great place for a summer trip because of the seriousness (heat) of Tochigi 🌞.
Good evening, Jay & Nobby!
I see you were neighbors! We're sorry to have disturbed you: 🙂↕️
It's quintessential that it's already a sanctuary for many people without having to flirt with Mr. Otani, and it's a wonderful place to be so ✨.
Outside drinking.
100% Yamada Nishiki
The color is crystal.
The aroma is sweet and sour.
It is still sweet on the palate. Refreshing sweetness. Clean like a pear🍐.
The taste is watery and flows easily down the throat.
The ginjo aroma is slightly perceptible.
Clear and transparent. This finish is amazing for a junmai sake🌾🍶.
Ohga Sake Brewery is located in Futsukaichi, Chikushino City, and was founded in 1673, making it the oldest brewery in Fukuoka.
I didn't even know it existed until I came to Sakebar Fukuzo.
This is my first time here.
The first aroma is sweet with a hint of acidity.
The mouthfeel has a tangy acidity, a slight astringency, and a dark sweet umami taste that is typical of nama sake.
It finishes with a hint of sourness.
It has 19% alcohol by volume, but the rich, mellow, sweet-tasting mouthfeel makes you feel as if you are drinking it without feeling it.
There are many delicious sake even in the honjozo category. ☺️
The third picture is an Iroha karuta (color chart) of Sakazukin-chan that was posted in the restroom of "sakebar Fukuzo". A list?
I'm not young anymore, so this kind of thing is rare these days, but I always try to do the lower left "drink water, drink water, and the rest will be easy" 😅.
Chikuzen tasted a sake from Futsukaichi.
The flavor spread in the mouth and was truly delicious.
It was a delicious sake that allowed us to enjoy its flavor.
The product description on the label says "Slightly dry..." Does this mean that it is dry compared to ours?
No, it is very dry.
However, if you drink it cold, it has a gentle dryness and is mild as described.
When heated up, the expression changes to the point where you would think it was a different brand. When heated, the expression changes to the point where you would think it was a different brand. The spiciness lingers on the tongue with a unique aroma. It is suitable for those who like heated sake.
Enjoy it with yakitori or yakitori.

A gift from a friend in Fukuoka who came to Fukuoka Airport to see me off (purchased at Todoroki Sake Shop).
Slightly melon-like finish
The same subdued, fruity aroma as the first sip, with a hint of vanilla and a hint of azuki beans, soft sweetness and umami of rice spreading with a refreshing acidity, and finishing gently with a hint of bitterness and a slight spiciness from the alcohol.
Elegant and well-balanced, it is easy to pair with meals, and is also delicious on its own.
My friend's nickname is Tama-chan and his wife's maiden name is Izumi, so he chose this sake as a pun.
It went well with Italian-style grilled salmon with foil, stewed sweet potato, chilled tofu, and squid cod roe.
At a sushi restaurant at Fukuoka Airport. Very easy to drink and refreshing. It has just the right amount of sweetness and goes well with vinegared shellfish.
