Moderately full-bodied
It is surprisingly easy to drink, perhaps because it has been aged for a shorter period of time than other Tengu Mai.
It has a lightness and crispness that you would not expect from a 18% alcohol content.
It is also good as a hot sake.
Slightly peculiar aroma in the nose
Koji?
The taste is sweet, but there is a little bit of a kick.
There is a slight bitterness in the aftertaste, and there is an alcohol taste that numbs the tongue a little, but does not leave that much of a residue on the palate.
I don't like it.
I had another Tengu Mai before, and it was not my favorite strain, but compared to that, it is easy to drink.
Tengu Mai itself is a brewery that ages its sake, so it is recommended for those who like matured sake.
When served with moromi tofu, the peculiarity of the aroma disappears and the umami and sweetness become stronger.
