ばさA little late in the season hiyaoroshi Yellowish hue, more golden than yellowish green. The aroma is of rice, as is typical of junmai, and the alcohol is drier than expected. The taste is a refreshing push of rice flavor. It is not as dry as the dryness expected from the aroma, and there is a lingering aftertaste. Personally, I would have preferred a little more richness for hiyaoroshi, but I enjoyed the good balance and it was delicious!

EugeneLast year I chilled this sake in the refrigerator before drinking it, but we don't have a microwave oven, so this year I drank it at room temperature and the spiciness and mellowness hit me! It was delicious! I used to think that sake should only be drunk chilled, but it is delicious lukewarm too 😋.
