I received this from a colleague who went to Niigata on a business trip!
I imagined it to be light and dry,
The initial attack was sweet and rich.
It has a rich and robust flavor.
It is nice to meet new people.
At our usual restaurant for tsukoyaki. We were lucky to have it as a tasting since there was only a little bit left in the bottle.
It was an interesting white wine with a fading taste, as is typical of the Domaine.
Junmai Daiginjo, but inexpensive, so I bought it.
Not very Junmai Daiginjo like taste.
More sweet than fruity.
There is no gasiness or acidity, and it has little character.
One item I got at the Kintetsu Abeno Harukas Sake Expo.
Hardly available in Kansai, or rather, they hardly ship from Nagaoka City😅.
It's a junmai ginjo made from local Nagaoka gohyakumangoku (five hundred million stone) 😄.
It is a strong-tasting sake with a light and dry image, which is not typical of Niigata!
More like a Sado Island sake 🥃.
There is a slight sourness and sweetness that you can feel on your tongue, followed by a big volume 😲.
It feels like it expands to two levels past the throat!
I think it's a sake to enjoy the taste slowly on its own to feel the changes in the mouth 🍶.
Gohyakumangoku" sake rice produced in Tochio, Niigata Prefecture is used.
This is a luxurious junmai ginjo-shu made by polishing only the "Nakadori" portion of the sake to 55%.
It is a delicious sake with a fruity aroma and a smooth mouthfeel that only unfiltered sake can provide.
