Sake Bar held in front of Mito Station every spring and fall
Customers returning from the Komon Marathon seem to enjoy the autumn event.
Sake from a brewery that was helping out at the sake bar
Tomikushin Junmai Pure Ibaraki
Sake made with Hitanishiki from the prefecture and yeast related to Ibaraki.
This time it was brewed with Ogawa yeast!
The Hitachi-Nishiki has a strong sweetness.
You can enjoy the taste of rice with depth.
The acidity is kept low to make it an easy-drinking sake.
It is a pleasure to meet the brewer at this event!
I was going to leave already, but I ended up having another glass... a happy miscalculation!
Above all, I was happy to meet the brewer, Ken-chan!
I'll be asking for good sake again this year.
At the moment of drinking, the ginjo aroma spreads to the palate. When it goes down the throat, it is a delicious sake with a crisp acidity. It is my favorite sake.
Local brewery that never leaves the prefecture
Shiina Shuzo's Tomikushin Summer Nama Sake
Miyamanishiki 50% polished rice
Lovely handmade label
When the bottle is opened, the sweet and sour taste stands out.
After a few days of drinking, the sweetness and acidity are well balanced.
Sharpness typical of Miyamanishiki
It has a depth that is not flimsy at all.
It is a good sake to drink chilled and enjoy it quickly.
Tomikushin while watching soccer
It's getting close to room temperature, but the sweetness is winning out,
I like dry sake, but even I can enjoy it.
If we win, it will be a beautiful wine of victory.
I think I will finish it before the game is over.
I bought it in December 22 and kept the Tomikushin Morohaku in a bottle of wine and opened it about 6 months later, in July 23!
I think it became mellower because it had been stored for half a year. The molokaku had sunk to the bottom of the bottle, so I shook it as hard as I could, but the sake did not explode. It must have been left in the bottle for half a year, so it must have fallen off.
It is still easy to drink, so I will be careful not to drink too much.
I started to taste bitterness even if I drink it normally. I think I laid it down a little too long.
100% Miyamanishiki produced in Nagano Prefecture
Polishing ratio 50%.
Alcohol content: 15° to 16° C
Acidity 1.4
Sake meter degree +3
It has a clear, acidic and refreshing taste. There seems to be a bit of bitterness or other miscellaneous flavors that were not there before, but I wonder if the brewing process has been changed.
This is the fifth year for this summer sake, which is sold exclusively at our favorite (lol) liquor store. Every year there is a number somewhere on the label indicating what year it is, but this year it was too obvious😅.
This seasonal sake comes out around the time the cherry blossoms start blooming in Hitachi City, Ibaraki Prefecture.
I bought it at my favorite sake store, Nonomi Shuzo, because I still had an image of how good it tasted last year.
The sake was bottled from the "arashibari" part of the bottle, so it was slightly cloudy and had a slight "trompe l'oeil" taste. It has a dry taste with a hint of sweetness that is characteristic of sake.
This is a delicious sake to enjoy at this time of year!
It is clear and colorless, with aromas of jyoshin powder, pear, and honeysuckle. The attack is rather weak, with mild acidity and a rich sweetness, and the lingering finish is rather short.
Hitachi Cherry Blossom Festival held for the first time in 4 years
Cherry blossoms were in full bloom and the weather was clear, attracting crowds of people who had been waiting for this day to arrive.
Buy some sake at a liquor store near the station
and enjoy drinking while admiring the cherry blossoms.
Sakura Ginjo, a sake I look forward to every year
Tomikushin's seasonal Yamadanishiki 50% polished rice
Slightly cloudy with a gorgeous aroma
Slight ginjo aroma and elegant sweetness like Wasanbon
It has a bitter aftertaste and goes well with sakura mochi (rice cakes).
The cherry blossoms look happy in the warm weather!
Everyone walking in the pedestrian paradise looks happy too!
The best sake that goes away in the blink of an eye!
Thanks for the great sake!
Let's go buy some more!
