Today, following yesterday's Aizan drinking event, I went to the Osaka Bay Tower's Japanese sake festival event 😀. I was informed in advance by bouken-san that there was a sake that Saku-san usually does not have, so I made a toast with his wife with that sake 😇. The sake was even clearer and fruity than Saku's usual sake, and we were very satisfied from the start 😀. During the live taiko performance by three women, my wife and I, who are both learning taiko, were overwhelmed by their amazing performance 😇. We were able to compare over 130 different types of sake, but my favorite was from Yamazaru, a brewery located in Asa, Yamaguchi Prefecture 😇. From the aroma to the mouthfeel, it was right up my alley👍! I had a chance to talk to the brewer and asked him about the stores in the Kansai area that carry it.

Good morning Yasbaye 😃 Is it a Don Picha sake... 😳⁉️ I'd love to drink it but Yasbaye's range is wide... so it's very possible that it's out of my range🤣.

Hi Rafa papa 😀 I only tasted a sip of this sake, so I would like to try it more properly 😀. The store is near Maruriki in Tenma and it looks like they will be at the Hanshin event in September 😇.

Even though I live in the Kansai region, I rarely see this sake. The brewery had been outsourcing brewing to other companies since the toji retired, but resumed in-house brewing a few years ago. This was the only sake I purchased at the Japanese Sake Festival. The aroma is a bit vanilla-like on the nose. It has a fresh, raw sake-like flavor, with a refreshing sweetness that is instantly followed by bitterness and spiciness. Maybe it is the alcohol content, but the alcohol taste is a little strong. I feel like it gets more and more alcoholic day by day...

The 6th Japanese Sake festival @Osaka Bay Tower⑳ The last ceremony of the festival. There were many kinds of sake, but I've never seen a white label. I drank SHIKI FRESH Junmai Daiginjo with a rice polishing ratio of 50%. The rice is 100% Yumigaho, which can only be used by Kawatake Brewery. It is a little too mature with a subdued feel 🤔I wish it had more impact since it is moderately priced. This is the end of the Japanese Sake festival, but it is still going on🤣.

The 6th Annual Japanese Sake Festival (1929) The first green sake, which I drank only once many years ago. I drank it once many years ago. Hatsugoroku Junmai Ginjo Unfiltered Nama-shu I think it was quite fruity and sweet. Okuhida Junmai Shiboritate Nama Sake I think it had a strong freshness, but the others didn't leave much of an impression...

The 6th Japanese Sake Festival @ Osaka Bay Tower⑱. I brought a bottle of Kiyama, but I didn't take a picture of it, and I probably only drank Chikuma-Nishiki 🙄. I drank Chikumonishiki Special Junmai Dry, Kuradashi Nama Zake Dark and rough. It can be warmed up. Not really my favorite... Fujimura's Nigori Sake Junmai An orthodox, ordinary nigori sake, neither too much nor too little. I should have tried Kisenzan since I've never had it before...

The 6th Japanese Sake Festival @ Osaka Bay Tower⑰. I've had Yamahoshi in the past, but Rokkasen was my first time. I drank Rokkasen 5-step Junmai It is sweet. It seems like it would be good warmed up, too. I might buy it next time because it was sold at an Ikari supermarket. Rokkasen hitotoki Rose Sparkling wine made from ancient rice. It has a beautiful rosé color. It was sweet and tasty 😋.

The 6th Japanese Sake Festival @ Osaka Bay Tower⑯. I had a good impression of Kiminoi after drinking it several times. It is not so easy to buy in Kansai. I drank the following Kimi no I Yamahai Junmai Ginjyo Unfiltered Nama-shu It was as good as when we drank it at home. Keishin Yamahai Junmai Daiginjo Koshi-tanrei Unfiltered Ichidoki Hi-iri I think it was quite sweet. I would like to drink more of Keishin.

The 6th Japanese Sake Festival @ Osaka Bay Tower (15) Ninja, which I feel is relatively minor among Shiga sake. I drank Ninja Plus+ Junmai Ginjo Unfiltered Nama-shu When I drank it in the past, I thought it was not my favorite flavor, but this time I found it delicious. Is this also tasting magic? The acidity was as strong this time as it was in the past. Daikouga Junmai Usu nigori Was it a draft sake? I think it was quite fizzy. There is not much information on Daikouga even if you google it. Ninja I'Amour Junmai Daiginjo Sake made with Aizan. Last year, when I drank a bottle of this sake, I felt off-flavor and it was subtle, but this time it was delicious with an elegant sweetness. ●Ninja Junmai Ginjo Unfiltered Nama Sake This one was the sweetest and tastiest. I should have checked the specs properly.... I've had an orikarami of this in the past, and it was delicious!

The 6th Japanese Sake Festival @ Osaka Bay Tower⑭ Nemuchi-san said the best amazake was Yonezuru, so we went to this booth. I drank Mahoroba amazake It had a strong flavor, and although I cannot describe it well, it was very strong. It tastes like something energizing or invigorating. Junmai Daiginjo Omachi A little spicy? I think it had a good sharpness. 100% Delaware grape juice DROP This was delicious. It was thick, but not too strong. Sparkling wine This is a sparkling wine that was sold at a liquor store near our house, but we didn't buy it. It was like champagne and tasted good.

The 6th Japanese Sake Festival @ Osaka Bay Tower⑬. Tomiou is one of Fushimi's favorite sake. We drank Tomiou Shiboritate Shinmai Shinshu Unrefined Nama Sake It is a honjozo (pure sake). It was a bit strong and strong, probably because it was aluzo-sweetened. Personally, I may not like it 🤔. Tomiou Junmai Daiginjo 100% Yamadanishiki It was clean and refreshing. I wonder if it is a food sake type. Tomiou Junmai Ginjo Tanshu Yamadanishiki This sake uses a yeast called Kyo no Koto. I think it was quite sweet. I had a bottle of this unfiltered raw sake a long time ago, and it was a sweet-tasting pineapple.

The 6th Japanese Sake Festival @ Osaka Bay Tower ⑫ Kamitaka followed Kobe Hankyu and Tenshiba's Sake Monogatari. This time, I did not drink Kamitaka, but was allowed to drink Nihon Soul. I drank Nihon Soul Junmai Namaishi Mizuhashirokomi It is not so peculiar and easy to drink. I think it is a perverted sake though 🤣. Nihon Soul AGED BY THE SEASIDE Aged in oak barrels This sake is made from mizu-hashiroshi sake and aged in oak barrels for about a year. It has a very dark color and a strong sense of maturity even though it has only been aged for about a year. I would like to try it on the rocks or with soda. Nihon Soul Junmai Namae Namae Mizuhashi Special II Personally, I like this one the best! It is sweet and sour and delicious. Nemuchi-san said it was too much 🤣.

The 6th Japanese Sake Festival @ Osaka Bay Tower (11) Sogin was participated as Hamafukutsuru, but Sogin is a project of young employees of the World Hawk Koyama Family Group (Kitashika, Yukitsubaki Sake Brewery, Echigozakura Sake Brewery, Koyama Honke Sake Brewery, Kyohime Sake Brewery, Koyama Honke Sake Brewery Nada Hamafukutsuru Brewery). We drank Sogin Ginjo carbonated sake This product is not yet on the market. It will be released next year. Of course, I drank it with soda. It's refreshing and has a rumney-like flavor. It's like drinking gin or mojito. I'll buy it when it's released 🤔. I drank it as is without mixing it 😅 Kukura Junmai Daiginjo Yamadanishiki I forgot to drink it at the Kobe Hankyu event, so I tried this one too. I think I liked the Omachi better.

The 6th Japanese Sake Festival @ Osaka Bay Tower 10 Garyubai, which I had the impression was spicy when I drank it in the past. I had never seen sparkling sake before. I drank Junmai Daiginjo Kaihon Jyurika Aiyama's sake with a 45% rice polishing ratio. I think it tasted sweet and gorgeous. I have never seen such a sake sold. SPARKLING ROSE It was sweet and sour. It's hard to finish a sparkling wine of this size unless there are a lot of people around💦. I wish it was 300ml. SPARKLING Nouveau It was a fresh new sparkling wine. It was like champagne as well as rosé. As an aside, I wonder if it was the president of Garyubai. The guy who served us drinks had a cool watch, an EDOX Chrono Offshore 1. I've never seen anyone wearing one before. I think it was a sporty and austere choice.

The 6th Japanese Sake Festival @ Osaka Bay Tower (9) Shikai-oh was also a first. I think they used to come to department stores for tasting and sales, and Yamaya used to have fresh sake, but I haven't seen them at all recently. It seems that a certain Kinjaku distributor in Osaka is selling it... I drank Shikai-o Special Junmai Omachi Well, I think it was sweet, but it didn't leave much impression😅. Shikai-oh Junmai Daiginjo Yumeginko It was gorgeous and sweet. Shikai-oh Daiginjo Yume at that time It was delicious with a firm sweet flavor. I got the impression that it was sweet overall. I'd like to buy a bottle and drink it next time.

The 6th Japanese Sake Festival @ Osaka Bay Tower (8) I was looking forward to seeing Joy Hikari at this event. It's a sake from Nara, but I haven't seen it at all, probably because it hasn't been brewed in-house for so long.... I've only seen Izumi Yusai if that's what you're looking for. I wonder if they don't have to work hard for individual customers because they have a large customer called Akagakiya and a health food business. I got the impression that the warehouse was pretty quiet, too. I drank Junmai Shiboritate Nama Sake I was glad to find a sake that was not on the list. It had a fresh feeling typical of nama-zake. I think I was saying to Nemuchi, "I don't know what it is, but it looks like Nara 🤣. Nanto Dakudaku Nigori (nigori) sake. It has a strong sense of rice. Junmai Ginjo Little Joy It was gorgeous, fruity, and sweet. It is a Junmai Daiginjo, so it can't be helped, but I thought the price setting was a little expensive. Junmai Kurahara Sake This was served at the heated sake booth towards the end of the session. It has a gentle flavor and is a good everyday evening drink. I could drink it while lounging around 🤣. I bought the first one I drank. I was going to buy something else, but I forgot when I was drunk 🤣.

The 6th Japanese Sake Festival @ Osaka Bay Tower (7) A work that can be called the highlight of this event. They brought some high quality products, so of course I drank some 😋. I wanted to be the first to go, but the Saku booth was crowded, so I waited a little longer 😁. Only the Sakusaku booth had a pole because there was a line 😅. I drank Saku Saku Zunmai Daiginjo Polishing ratio 35%, list price 11,000 yen 😳. There was not much information about it, probably because it was just released and not many people are drinking it. It is beautiful, sweet and refreshing. I should have tasted it a little more 🤔. Naguwashi Suzuka Kami-no-ho Junmai Daiginjo Polishing ratio 45%, list price 7700 yen😳. I think it was more umami and sweeter than Hazui. Personally, I prefer this one. There were other sake brands, but I didn't buy any of them because I could afford them.

The 6th Japanese Sake Festival @ Osaka Bay Tower (6) A project by young employees of Bekkaku Hakutsuru Sake Brewery. Except for the two low-priced varieties, Gentle Breeze Clover and Sunshine Shabondama, all of them are made with Hakutsuru Nishiki. The two types of sake stored in wine barrels were not on the list. The ones we drank were Sunshine Soap Bubbles A sparkling sake-based liqueur with 3% alcohol and a hint of lemon. It's sweet and tasty, but it's like a juice😅. Mushinegane of the sun through the trees It's like lemon grass, but with a refreshing acidity. Snorkel in the sun As written, it tastes like orange and citrus, a little bit bitter. Twilight Telescope The sweetest of the three 4-portions. Owl's snooze This is a sake made from red wine barrels. It has a red wine-like richness and sweetness. A bird's snooze A white wine cask-stored sake yeast. The acidity and freshness are like white wine. Clover of the gentle breeze (no photo) We have bought this one in the past. It has a freshness like lemongrass and a blue atmosphere. I think it's a little sweeter than the others. I'm glad I was able to try it this time because some of them were in a price range that was hard to get my hands on.

The 6th Japanese Sake Festival @ Osaka Bay Tower ⑤. Takebayashi made a good impression at the Takashimaya Sake Festival. The same staff was there. We drank the following Takebayashi Karoyaka Oshatoro Junmai Ginjo It is fire-aged but has a gaseous taste and is very sweet and tasty. I think everyone likes it. Takebayashi catharsis Junmai Daiginjo (not pictured) I regretted not buying it after drinking it at the Takashimaya Sake Festival. It was just as good this time, but I personally prefer the Daishatoro by a narrow margin. Awasake Sake Stripe I've seen this before at Aeon, but this is the first time I've had it. It is a low-alcohol sparkling sake that is easy to drink. I didn't buy Takebayashi this time either 😭 I'll have to buy it next time I see it 💦.

The 6th Japanese Sake Festival @ Osaka Bay Tower④. I participated under the name of "Taido" but most of the sake I brought was from Chiyoen 😅. I drank Taido Junmai Ginjo I was looking forward to it, but I thought it was too clear and not enough. I'm looking forward to the freshly squeezed raw sake that is supposed to be released in the near future. I don't know if I can buy it. Wind, Cats, and Daiginjo I drank Hoshi to Neko to at the brewer's festival, so I chose this one. I like this one because it is sweet and gorgeous. Kura-oi Daiginjo This sake was not on the list. It is only available at the brewery. It was sold out in the afternoon session, so there was only a tasting left. It was gorgeous but 🤔. Junmai Ginjyo Autumn Kaoru Nigori Nama Slightly bubbly, slightly sweet and tasty. It was my favorite at this booth.

The 6th Japanese Sake Festival @ Osaka Bay Tower ③. Mitsutake Shuzojo seems to be more famous for its shochu (Japanese liquor) such as Invitation to the Demon World. Nemuchi-san was the one to butt in with something like, "You can only produce such cosy Junmai Daiginjo because you are making money from shochu, right? Nemuchi-san was saying something like that 🤣. What we drank was Junmai Daiginjo Hiyoroshi This label is released seasonally, but I remember it was cheap. It is easy to drink with just the right amount of ripeness. The type you want to drink with a meal. Handmade junmai sake This sake has 50% polished rice, but they dare to call it Junmai. When I bought it at a supermarket and drank it in the past, it was very thin, but this time, it was just as good as usual. Daikinjyo and Solo no Gourmet This sake is a collaboration with "Solo no Gourmet". They have collaborated with various manga and anime for shochu, but this is the first time for sake. It is gorgeous and fruity. I think it is my favorite among the three types we drank this time.
