This Sake is a nice change from what I have been drinking recently. It has a sugary sweetness similar to a ripe muscat. There is a Medium mouth feel followed by a slight dryness at the finish for a clean aftertaste. Delicious. 😋

Today I went shopping in town with the kids: 🛍️ We casually stopped by 3coins and saw some Sake 😳.... Recently, KALDI and Chateraise have been carrying them too...so I'm wondering if Sake is becoming popular 🤔. Although... sake at Chateraise is still new to me 💦. So I bought some from 3coins to try ✨. This one seems to be from a sake brewery in Nagasaki, but it's a first for me 😁. When you open the bottle, the aroma is not very strong. A sip from...‼️ It has an apple-like sweetness, so it's not hard to drink at first, but the alcohol taste that comes right away is a bit habitual 💧. I think it leaves a little aftertaste too😅.

I slipped into a restaurant called Kanda Ogawamachi, Ojika-cho, Goto Islands, Nagasaki Prefecture, for my second cup. Since we had limited time, we went for the Junmai Ginjo. The sake I chose when I returned home for Obon was Gold Junmai Daiginjo by Popular Sake Brewery. This sake brewery is very particular about the traditional method of making sake, and everything is made in wooden vats. It is a junmai daiginjo that is polished to 50%, so there is no cloying taste at all ✨It starts with an elegant sweetness and rice flavor, with the aroma of the wooden vat and a slight bitterness at the end. Delicious 😊.

Hakkeikubiki is a series of the eight blessings of Kakizaki: sun, water, earth, sky, wind, trees, snow, and people. This is wind. Come to think of it, it was windy in Kakizaki. I had not had the pleasure of visiting Sado last year, but I found this at a liquor store in town when I wandered by. I was hooked by the power word "centrifugal separation" and decided to take it home immediately. This is a good sake. It is very soft and elegant on the palate. The rice is made from Gohyakumangoku with a 55% milling ratio, but it is beautiful, with the sweetness and flavor of the rice riding on the transparency of the 35% milling ratio. The aroma is banana-like. The taste is full of sweetness, but the gradual entry of acidity is clear and the balance of sweet and sour is pleasant.
