Tonight we went to Otsuka to eat anaguma. The wife saw it in a magazine and wanted to go there. 4 at Jizake and more. The last one was also omakase and heated sake. We chose this sake to go with the zosui, which was mild with the egg. It was indeed very gentle. When heated, the aroma, sweetness, and umami spread gently. It's deeply delicious. Long ago, I drank heated sake at a cheap izakaya (Japanese-style bar), and the volatile alcohol of the cheap sake stained my eyes. I regretted it. Heated sake is different in the way it enters the body. The temperature is close to human skin, and it's just so gentle. I was once told that sake is supposed to be drunk warmed. Cold sake was said to be a lazy drink. I had read a story about this and thought I had to try it again, but my first memory of it kept me from trying it.... It's not good not to drink. I should have taken it earlier. After the rice porridge, I had some room in my stomach, so I tried one of their specialties: tuna and sea bream rolled with yellow meat and tuna innards. It was ridiculously delicious!

Hello Toshihiko 😃 I googled "Jizake Ya Motto" and it looks like a nice place with a nice atmosphere! I googled it and it looks like a nice place with a nice atmosphere 🥹 besides the anaguma 🐻, I'm sure the hot sake you served was delicious 🍶 too 😌!

I would rather eat something else than a badger! LOL! I think it is a good restaurant. It was overbooked and several groups left without getting in. Heated sake is good! I think I'll buy a tin of chirori first....

You can smell the nuts and feel the bitterness that lingers on your tongue 🥜. The aroma derived from No.6 yeast is vaguely discernible, but it is quite dry. The bitterness is noticeable in cold sake, so room temperature or hot sake would be better 💡. It was sold well at a mysterious cheese shop, so I bought it too 👛 because of the No. 6 yeast. I didn't like it much because the flavor didn't spread very well 💧. 720 mL ¥ 1,210

Good morning, Nemuchi. ☀︎ I guess it's better heated 💧. I saw a few reviews like that after drinking it, so I was disappointed: ⤵️

Very light when cold. Slightly sweet with a rough texture when slightly warmed up: not too strong. Clean, slightly classical dry aftertaste

The liquor store recommended that the brewer also said this honjozo was delicious. The color is clear. The aroma is mild, with hints of rice malt, melon, and pineapple. It has a nice sweetness, a hint of sourness, minerality, and astringency, and is delicious at room temperature. No, this is really good. It's Asahi Kiku, so I heated it up right away. This is delicious! The balance of sweetness and acidity is just right, and the astringency is nice. There's nothing special about it, but that's why it tastes so good because it's so ordinary. If you like it, it can be heavy, but this is not that kind of sake. A bottle costs 2,200 yen. Too good a deal. I wish they would have this in stores. Especially if they are not particular about heated sake. I'm serious. If you're going to have this kind of sake in a store, I want you to have this kind of sake. If they serve it for 550 yen for a single brew, it's a god thing.

I forgot to add the photo. I don't see any Honjozo in a google search. I don't think it's something you would go out of your way to find, but it would be nice to have it nearby.
