I bought it knowing it was sweet, but it had so much distinctive sweetness, aroma, and taste. I thought it would be sweet like Sauternes, but it wasn't quite what I was expecting. I thought I had to drink it by itself, like a dessert wine, otherwise it wouldn't go well with a meal and this wine wouldn't come alive.
A food stall village just outside Keihan Fushimi Inari Station. For some reason, you can drink this sake for 100 yen, a great deal. It is a bittersweet sake with a predominant bitterness, but it is full of value for money.
