Get off the Shinkansen at Shin-Osaka.
Take the Midosuji subway line to Namba and transfer to the Kintetsu "Shimakaze" sightseeing express, the pride of Kintetsu
Enjoy Matsuzaka beef curry (1,500 yen) and craft beer (pale ale, 750 yen) 🍺 at the buffet in the train.
Sake (Miyanoyuki Junmai Ginjo Aizan) is also on the menu.
Miyanoyuki is a sake made by Miyazaki Honten, which is famous for its hoppy partner, Kimmiya Shochu!
I thought 1,000 yen for 300ml was a bit expensive, but that's the nature of sad sake drinkers!
I can't help but order it 😁.
But I guessed it would not go well with curry, so I took it back to my seat and had it!

From the aroma, I can't feel the gorgeousness that is typical of Aizan.
If I had to venture a guess, I'd say it's Japanese pear...
It's the same on the palate.
Sweet and tasty acidity spreads in the mouth, but only a little.
It is not a gorgeous and juicy wine, but rather, it is made with a focus on umami.
The bitterness that comes later is rather strong and lingers on the tongue for a long time...
In this respect, it can be said to be typical of Aizan.
It is not a star-class wine, but a silver Aizan.

Miyanoyuki Junmai Ginjo Aizan
Miyanoyuki" is not sold very often in Kansai area. A friend of mine who comes to Osaka from Mie bought this for me and got it for me.
I had previously drank a Junmai Ginjyo Yamadanishiki with a special character "Miyanoyuki" and I liked it a lot, so I had high expectations for it 🤩.
The retro label one I drank at the Japanese sake festival was a little too classic for my liking😅.

The top-tasting aroma is a gorgeous ginjo aroma. The aroma is reminiscent of apple honey.
The mouthfeel is smooth, with a gentle sweetness at first, and the acidity is moderate.
The fruity taste is also present, with a clear sweetness. The aftertaste is a bit hard, but the bitterness spreads gradually on the tongue, and there is a strong sense of sake.
The sweetness is moderate and well balanced, which I like.
