Souvenirs of my wife who traveled from her parents' home (Kagawa) to her second son (Ehime) to her eldest daughter (Shimane) in Chugoku and Shikoku.
My wife doesn't drink sake, so she bought a packet this time too 🤣.
Sake Sen Eiko Laugh With Sake Iyo Shizuku Hime
First time drinking, first time seeing. It's a sake brewery in Matsuyama 🤔 long time ago? I've been to Matsuyama a lot but didn't know that.
It was written like a sake award to drink with a glass of wine🥂 so I had it on a western food day,
I imagined it to be a bit more wine-like, but it was more rice-like than I expected, a bit heavier, and a bit thicker sensation.
And as I drank it, it gradually became a little sour, but not as sour as I expected.
The alcohol is 16 degrees, so it's a little bit high, a little bit peculiar.
On the second day, I think it's easier to drink.
It's kinda like it's got a little bit of a corner on it? It tastes better: 👍️
Good morning, Takashi!
Your wife is so nice to pick out a souvenir drink for you, even though you're on a big move ✨.
And the pink looks great, just like the jackets 😁✨✨.
Good for your wife's choice to explore new places 👍️
Good morning, ma-ki-San 😊.
Somehow, especially lately, sake has become a standard souvenir for me from my family 😅.
I'm thankful for that 😘.
I also drink too much 🤣.
Shikoku x Sake Country 2025 Sake Brewery Wonderland On Osaka - A Spectacle of Sake and Food in Shikoku
I have passed by Shusen Eiko on my way back from Oku-Dogo Onsen, so I was curious about it.
It is said to be dry.
It is dry and has a strong flavor and richness.
The sourness is also accentuated and it has a firm texture.
The price seems to be reasonable, so I am tempted to buy it!
I went in to have dinner, but was told that the restaurant was sold out and I would have to go in.
It was light for an unfiltered sake.
Umami, with a little acidity.
Sake made from Matsuyama Mitsui
Polishing ratio 50%.
Alcohol 16-17%.
Sake degree +1
Shusen Eiko Junmai Daiginjo Matsuyama Mitsui
The sweet aroma is softly fragrant.
The taste is a little peculiar and heavy, not like a Junmai Daiginjo. The aftertaste disappears quickly and leaves nothing behind.
It is a bit peculiar to drink by itself, but it becomes instantly delicious with a meal.
