This is my first time to try Mitsutake! Hokuto Goshoha❗When I was young and playing pachislot back in the day, the Unit 4 Hokuto no Ken was very popular. My Kenshiro was, well, weak and the direction was so weak that I could only turn around once in a while and mostly just watch him strolling around and it was not a good match for me. ⤵️

We collaborated with Hokuto no Ken on Mitsutake's potato shochu, and now we have started sake as well.
Kenshiro's Hokuto Hyakusai Ken is a Junmai Daiginjo-genshu.
I happily bought it because I like Junmai Daiginjo best among Mitsutake's sake.
It has a good balance of acidity and umami to my liking.

■Koumu Sake Brewery / "Koumu" Saga Prefecture
Mitsutake" is a shochu that I usually only have a chance to drink at the Japanese Sake Festivals. It is often seen on the Hokuto no Ken label of the shochu "Invitation to the Demon's Realm".
I talked to them and told them that their Junmai Daiginjo was cheap and buggy 🤣.
The sake I was after this time was a collaboration with the manga "Solo no Gourmet".

Hikaribu Handmade Junmai
A Junmai Daiginjo-class 50% polished sake, but only labeled as Junmai. It is orthodox with a firm umami flavor.
I was shown a leaflet with a list of manga collaboration products, which included shochu, sake, and recently even gin, with manga labels such as "Tiger Mask," "Cutie Honey," "Devil Man," "Mazinger Z," "Fist of the North Star," "City Hunter," and "Solitary Gourmet," which is a little older than my age. The aroma is clear and fruity ❗️

Mitsutake Shuzojo seems to be more famous for its shochu (Japanese liquor) such as Invitation to the Demon World.
Nemuchi-san was the one to butt in with something like, "You can only produce such cosy Junmai Daiginjo because you are making money from shochu, right? Nemuchi-san was saying something like that 🤣.
What we drank was
Junmai Daiginjo Hiyoroshi
This label is released seasonally, but I remember it was cheap. It is easy to drink with just the right amount of ripeness. The type you want to drink with a meal.
Handmade junmai sake
This sake has 50% polished rice, but they dare to call it Junmai. When I bought it at a supermarket and drank it in the past, it was very thin, but this time, it was just as good as usual.
Daikinjyo and Solo no Gourmet
This sake is a collaboration with "Solo no Gourmet". They have collaborated with various manga and anime for shochu, but this is the first time for sake.
It is gorgeous and fruity. I think it is my favorite among the three types we drank this time.
