A famous sake from Kaga!
Strong and sharp, with a strong sweetness and umami from the rice.
It is a little difficult to match it with snacks.
I bought this when I visited Ishikawa to support the Noto Peninsula disaster area.
The color is my favorite matured type, brown, but it is not that strong and slightly sweet, which is delicious!
The shopkeeper told me that Noto sake is less filtered with activated charcoal, so the color is brown.
I see what he meant.
I really wanted to drink heated sake, but since we were in a hotel, I only drank it cold.
This is an original product of the liquor store Minami Shuhan. However, it is definitely sake made at the brewery of JOKIGEN. It tasted somewhat nostalgic. It reminded me of the proprietress of Minami Shu Hanbai.
I took advantage of the time before boarding the Shinkansen to have a drink.
The one I chose was my first Jokigen.
It is as sharp and dry as it claims to be super spicy!
It was a perfect ending to the day!
I think I am a little tired of drinking.
I bought it at a department store during a Kaga Hyakumangoku fair. The clerk recommended something gorgeous and easy to drink, so I chose this one.
The aroma was not so strong, but the rice flavor and alcohol taste were strong, and I knew while drinking that this was Yamahai.
This is a hard sake that can be drunk with Wakarimizu (water for peace of mind).
This time we tasted Kaga's sake.
It is slightly sweet and has a beautiful harmony of flavors.
It was better than I had imagined!
It was a truly delicious sake.
Amber color with visible umami. The first glass is served cold and the second glass is served hot. The rich lactic acidity of this sake will sting when served cold, and the mild rice flavor will increase when served hot. A perfect food sake that can be served with a variety of dishes.
This is a fire-aged special junmai sake from the Shikano Shuzo brewery in Kaga, Ishikawa Prefecture. It has a good balance of umami and bitterness, and is perfect as a food sake, as it seems to go with everything. Try it heated as well.
